(Clearwisdom.net) In the latest efforts of eliminating the evil, great quantities of demons have been eliminated, and what is remaining is only a small percetage. They have fled en masse, running back to their respective headquarters, manifested as Consulates and Embassies outside of China. In their respective headquarters, there are various instruments that were left behind previously, including mechanisms to create new demons, weaponry, defensive bulwarks, etc. Once they have fled back, it will become relatively more difficult to eliminate them. Now that they are in the transitional phase of fleeing, it is the most optimal time period for sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate them. There have been reports of the evil planning to return on the 18th. We should learn our lesson from last time and take advantage of the opportunity while not being affected by their schedule or various forms of misleading information. We should continue to use righteous thoughts (pure and righteous intent) to eliminate the demons that are manipulating humans, and think about eradicating all evil that damages Dafa, encompassing it all and leaving out none.
Our practitioners have participated in several days of holy battles, going through much hardship. However, in the situation of both sides being very weary, whether or not we can persevere with determination, persist until the end, continue to eliminate the elements in other dimensions controlling the head of the evil and manipulating people, and eliminate with all our strength those demons that went as reinforcements and are now fleeing, that is of utmost importance.
The strength of the remaining evil is relatively weak, so while fleeing they will be even more focused on relying on interfering with Dafa disciples to buy time for themselves. Today in New York it rained almost the entire day, stopping and starting intermittently. There was a period of rain while the sun was out, with thunder rumbling in the distance. The several hundred Dafa disciples who attended the Midwest United States Experience Sharing Conference went to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to send forth righteous thoughts as a group, while many Dafa disciples around the United States and Canada who did not go to Europe are also continuing to send forth righteous thoughts in front of Chinese Consulates all over North America.
Today, Master published "The Heavens Become Clear Again":
The Heavens shrouded in darkness, the Earth enveloped in gloom
The thunder of the Gods explodes, dispersing the dark, dense haze
And sweeps across the rotten demons who sought to ruin the Fa
Do not say that our mercy is somehow lacking
Thus we realized, even for those disciples who cannot go to the Consulates to send forth righteous thoughts, please be sure not to slack off and persist in continuously sending forth righteous thoughts. The process and quality of this round of sending forth righteous thoughts to completely eliminate the evil are of utmost importance to the improvement as a whole of Dafa disciples and clarifying the truth to save sentient beings.
Let us use our hearts of tolerance, persevere until the end, and fulfill our duty of eliminating the evil.
The above are only my own personal understandings.
After Clearwisdom announced the new set times for sending forth righteous thoughts at 6 AM, 6PM, 12 AM, and 12PM, I participated frequently in sending forth righteous thoughts during these new times and I thought that I had fulfilled Master's teachings.
Today, close to 6PM, I was busy doing work with Fa rectification activities and I thought, "I'm tied up with Dafa work right now, so I do not need to send forth righteous thoughts simultaneously." Therefore I continued my work. However, after sending forth righteous thoughts later, I realized that it is impossible to achieve the purpose of eliminating the evil, if we are sending forth righteous thoughts under such an attachment to doing things.
At 6:02PM, the computer suddenly stopped displaying Teacher's article and at that moment I recalled Teacher's words,
"If you don't eliminate them, then they not only persecute you and restrain you, but also persecute other students, other Dafa disciples." "Now, when you send forth righteous thoughts, whenever you hold your hand up vertically in front of your chest, the evil beings flee immediately..." (Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.).
I clearly sensed that the evil beings were being eliminated right then and some with nowhere else to escape had fled into my dimension. The evil uses any chance to persecute Dafa. Therefore, because I hadn't taken sending forth righteous thoughts seriously and did not have determination and resolute belief in Master Li and Dafa, the evil was able to make use of this opportunity. When I realized this, I immediately stopped what I was doing and sat in the lotus position, held my hand up vertically in front of my chest and then the computer became normal again.
After this experience, I realized that actually the idea of sending forth righteous thoughts while doing other things was the old forces using my pursuit of comfort and lack of diligence to arrange an obstacle, and make me not calm enough to send forth righteous thoughts. Thus, failing in the purpose to eliminate evil and achieving their goal.
Just think about it, in order to save us and all sentient beings, Teacher has waited for us for more than millions of years and suffered so much. However, in order to cover my attachment, I was not willing to spend these five minutes or ten minutes to eliminate the old forces. Actually these couple of minutes were for sake of the future of sentient beings. This also reflected my usual laziness for neglecting to study the Fa and usually use business to cover up my lack of diligence. Therefore it caused the interference and obstacles for my work. Teacher said that "But if you do study the Fa well, you'll find many things a lot easier to do, and at the same time, problems will be less apt to occur. That's why I've said that no matter how busy you are, you must study the Fa." Now I realize that, instead of treating Fa study and sending forth righteous thoughts as homework assignments, we should consider them as Teacher's requirements for us, Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, and we need to do it well from our heart sincerely and voluntarily. When based on this foundation, we can harmonize to complete Dafa work and it is a righteous and corrected attitude to have for Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples
The above is my personal understanding. I ask my fellow practitioners to kindly point out anything that is incorrect.
(Clearwisdom.net) Often we have different opinions on how to carry out specific tasks during our Fa-spreading activities. This is unavoidable since we have different cultivation states, different backgrounds, as well as different experiences and individual characteristics. We could say that each one of us brings forward what we think is the best solution at our current levels. We could also say, then, that there are no absolutely right or wrong opinions being raised in these discussions. We all try to provide the best solution, sincerely wishing to be responsible to the Fa.
By stepping outside of the issues and looking at them from a broader perspective, we should recognize that each and every incident is part of Teacher's plan for us to remove our attachments. These incidents also serve to raise the cultivation levels of Dafa practitioners individually and as one body. When we mentioned earlier that no "right or wrong" exists, it only applies to each individual's cultivation level. While each individual disciple has their own way of advancing in their cultivation, Dafa practitioners also need to ascend as a whole. From this perspective, the opinions from both sides are different and there is the issue of right and wrong. However, this difference is definitely not the same as the right and wrong of everyday people.
Our success and failure in all endeavors are manifestations of occurrences in other dimensions. Our accomplishments are the most sacred and magnificent only if we can maintain the purest state of mind. It is no different in our efforts to spread the Fa. The keys are whether our righteous thoughts are clear and strong, whether we are all acting together in unison, and whether our omissions and deficiencies have been eliminated. If our debates cause division and discord among disciples, then we are undermining all lives within Dafa. We are committing serious wrongdoing.
So the objective of our discussions should not be only to seek the best solution, but also to take advantage of conflicts that arise to raise the cultivation levels and understanding of all Dafa disciples as one body. Our discussions are different from arguments among ordinary people. We should apply the standard of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" to our behavior at all times. If we can truly analyze the problem with genuine sincerity, treat everything with compassion and handle differences in opinion with great tolerance, then our debates will serve as excellent opportunities to elevate together as a group. They will not then ever become ordinary human debates.
As practitioners we all strive to be tolerant towards others. If we were able to tolerate personal conflicts caused by ordinary people, then why can't we tolerate disagreements among ourselves as cultivators? Shouldn't we resolve any grudges or resentment among Dafa disciples graciously?
Teacher clearly pointed out in his 1999 "Lecture in Australia" how to resolve conflicting opinions among Dafa practitioners,
"When handling disagreement among Dafa practitioners, you should emphasize the interest of Dafa, rather than stressing your own individual proposition. Once you all are in accord, then you should together execute it well. If all stick to their own individual opinion and get into prolonged arguments without reaching consensus, then you had been exploited by demon or demon nature that undermine Dafa. Holding on to own opinions without letting go is already an attachment of one self." [unofficial translation]
Even though the old forces arranged the paths of our cultivation, Teacher took advantage of their arrangements to put Fa-rectification disciples' paths of genuine cultivation in place. Some ideas that we thought came from ourselves perhaps were put in place by Teacher. Teacher controls all Dafa work on a macroscopic level. Teacher's Fashen track everything. The overall direction could never deviate. The issues that remain have to do with disciples removing our last attachments, to thereby assure the final and complete fulfillment of Teacher's plan. Therefore we should allow ourselves to go along with the opinion of the majority, or to follow the recommendations of the person coordinating any particular effort. Perhaps this is what we should be able to do. The idea that, "I am righteous; others are abnormal," is a characteristic exhibited by the old forces. We must resolutely rid ourselves of such mentalities as a part of our own cultivation.
Cultivation is the process of continuously expanding the capacity of our hearts. We should be able to accommodate differing opinions with calm and compassion, thereby improving as one body. Once the group makes a decision, we should actively participate and carry out the tasks regardless of whether we agree wholeheartedly. Dafa is a whole entity. Putting Dafa ahead of everything else is in itself a manifestation of selflessness.
(Clearwisdom.net) On June 6th, Clearwisdom reported that Iceland would deny, during Jiang's visit, any visa requests by passport holders from the People's Republic of China and Taiwan until June 18th. This, needless to say, is similar to other visits by Chinese dignitaries abroad in that it was at the demand of the visiting dignitaries.
My first thought upon hearing the news was that Jiang is really scared this time. This was not fear that a normal person would sometimes have; it was something that chilled Jiang thoroughly, an apprehension or despair that has overwhelmed him, driving him to completely ridiculous and irrational behavior.
Jiang's fear of Falun Gong seems to be deeply engrained. As early as 1999, when the persecution campaign just started, he kept himself busy at an Asia-Pacific Summit in New Zealand, handing out to every national leader pamphlets that slandered Falun Gong. His meekness begged the question of whether he really had the self-confidence of "eradicating Falun Gong in three months." Since then, nearly three years have passed, and Falun Gong has developed rapidly around the world. Now, with their constant appeals and tenacious efforts to make clarifications, Jiang has become ever more fearful of the ubiquitous Falun Gong people when he travels overseas. Under these circumstances, his demands to host countries have also grown ever more ridiculous--so much so that he asked the German government to ensure no Falun Gong practitioners in their trademark blue-yellow shirts would meet his eyes, that he put pressure on the Iceland government this time to deny entry for every Chinese. One can't help but ask: do these actions befit his status as a head of state? Does it help China's aspiration to play a more active role in international affairs? Whether due to their courtesy as the host or to further economic interests, the host countries may have met his irrational demands, but China had to pay a high price for Jiang's paranoia, as what he had brought to the country was definitely not respect.
Those few overseas Chinese who had been temporarily deceived and manipulated have already figured out the irrationality of this persecution campaign and the frailty of Jiang's group -- because they lately have said to those practitioners that their peaceful actions would, oddly enough, "make China collapse." Of course, the "China" whose destiny they were worried about had nothing to do with the real China or the Chinese people. In reality, to them China was just another name for Jiang's dictatorial gang. This brings up an interesting question: doesn't it speak volumes when despite their monopoly of all the political, economic and military resources of a country as huge as China, people actually think they could be "overthrown" by the meditation of people who never hit back when being hit and never curse back when being cursed, who believe in such principles as "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance?"
For democratic countries, this represents a challenge to the values we hold dear, namely freedom and democracy. Even during the Cold War, when the powerful Soviet Union made state visits, it didn't make such unbelievably ridiculous demands of its hosts. It seems that Jiang has now started to direct Western governments on how they should run their countries, meaning that those governments have to treat those who are in disfavor with him the same way he would. Thus, the German police banned people wearing blue shirts from walking on the street; every employee of Asian descent at a hotel where Jiang stayed at had to take leaves during his visit. Iceland refused to grant visas to every Chinese visitor. We have to ask ourselves, when we kowtow to the insanity of a tyrant, how far are we from losing the democratic freedom we cherish so much?
Today, Jiang is not only forcing Chinese, but also every government in the world to make its choice on the issue of Falun Gong. This reminds us of what happened in the 1930s, when Europe's attempt to stay neutral in the face of Hitler's reign of terror only fuelled the flame of destruction that engulfed the whole continent. Likewise, when we are now faced with the most evil forces in the world, there isn't much time left to make our choice.

(Clearwisdom.net) When I looked at the Clearwisdom web site, I was immediately attracted by three articles. In the first article, I read that the despotic Chinese dictator coerced the Icelandic government into violating its own democratic, free principles by refusing to issue visas to Chinese and Taiwanese passport holders during the period of his planned visit to Iceland. The dictator of China, it appears, fears to see the peaceful appeal of Falun Dafa practitioners who are known for their kindness and their peacefulness. The next two articles however, reported the vigorous support and openness of the Icelandic citizens and media to Falun Dafa and to Falun Dafa practitioners. The contrast of attitudes between the government and the people is both glaring and thought provoking.
Since July 20,1999, the head political rogue of the Chinese government has adopted the most vicious and the most malicious means to suppress more than one hundred million Falun Gong practitioners who simply cultivate goodness in their hearts. In the last three years, over a thousand innocent Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death, more than a hundred thousand people have been sent to prisons, forced labor camps, and psychiatric hospitals, countless harmonious families have been broken apart, and countless innocent people have suffered inhumane persecution. During these three years, the dictator has been suppressing good people, indulging lawlessness on the part of the police, inciting the police to commit crimes against Falun Gong practitioners, thereby having them "enforce" the law while violating the law, and controlling the media to spread rumors and fabricate lies to defame Falun Gong. Cries of discontent have arisen everywhere.
Now the dictator is on a tour to make a show of himself. Wherever he goes, he threatens to cancel his traveling arrangements in order avoid the peaceful practitioners, and to force the democratic country he is visiting to suppress the freedom of belief and freedom of speech it previously vigorously supported. However, the public opinion of democratic countries is not so easily moved. While the government of Iceland is doing everything to accommodate this dictator, the people of Iceland are filled with a sense of injustice, and have sent forth their strong voices without hesitation, welcoming Falun Dafa practitioners to Iceland!
Iceland is a small, peaceful and beautiful island country with a population of 260,000 . It has only 500 to 600 police officers nationwide, and no armed forces. People live together in peace and harmony, caring for and helping each other. The crime rate is extremely low. Some call it a paradise.
However, the Chinese dictator's approaching arrival has brought about a great disturbance in this peaceful island country. The concessions offered by the government violated public opinion. The people of Iceland enjoy democratic freedom, and will not remain silent. A violation of Falun Gong practitioners' freedom of speech is a violation of the freedom of all democratic nations. Each citizen has the right, indeed, the responsibility, to safeguard that freedom. Public opinion is responding vociferously. Newspapers, television and radio stations, and mainstream newspapers are all criticizing the government's unconstitutional and irrational action. What is more, the mainstream newspapers are printing several pages of positive reports about Falun Gong every day. After publishing the truth of the brutal persecution in China, a poll done by one of the newspapers showed that 90% of the populace welcomes Falun Dafa practitioners to Iceland to carry out their peaceful protest. Many in government have also criticized the improper actions of the Ministry of Justice. Even non-governmental organizations and human rights organizations have expressed enormous support and encouragement by inviting Falun Dafa practitioners on their own initiative. The Falun Dafa Information Center has received electronic mail from many Icelandic citizens stating, "If you cannot come, I will protest for you."
The Icelandic government has received unprecedented pressure from the populace. The used-to-be peaceful and harmonious little island is now filled with inharmonious sounds. Moreover, tourism is the mainstay of Iceland's economy. However, this policy of entry refusal will certainly have repercussions. Thousands of Falun Gong practitioners overseas are not able to enter Iceland, airline tickets that were already bought have to be returned, and hotel rooms that have been booked now have to be cancelled, bringing a huge loss to Iceland's economy. This loss will inevitably be borne by the innocent people of Iceland.
Last month, when the Chinese dictator visited Germany, the older people of the little German town where he stayed recalled the terror of World War II. This time the dictator has brought discontent to the people of Iceland and disharmony to their government even before his arrival. He has caused a huge economic loss to the nation. The dictator doesn't just bring disaster to his own country. He brings disaster wherever he goes.

For silent moments Saturday, Chinese grandmothers and businessmen in suits sat cross-legged in Daley Plaza, meditating about those who have died for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual movement banned in China.
"Over 400 have been killed since [the movement was banned in 1992], maybe hundreds more," said Andy Cook, an organizer of the two-day regional Falun Gong conference and commemoration in Chicago.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, combines yogalike exercise with meditation to promote physical and spiritual well-being. In 1999, the Chinese government banned the popular movement, which began in 1992. [...]
A candlelight vigil was planned for Saturday night in front of the Chinese consulate in downtown Chicago to remember people persecuted and imprisoned in China for defying the ban, some whom died in custody.
On Sunday, Chicago-area practitioners--a loosely knit group whose estimated numbers range from hundreds to several thousand and are composed mostly of Chinese immigrants--are expected to gather in the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier to discuss the positive effects of Falun Gong on their lives.
"My staff tells me I don't yell at them as often anymore," said Warren H. Tai, 54, a Chicago bank executive who incorporated Falun Gong into his life in 1997. "It has improved my quality of sleep. I don't get as jumpy or fight with my wife as much."
Saturday's events included a march through Chinatown. Practitioners carried yellow banners emblazoned with group [principle], and teenage girls in pastel dresses sang in Chinese about peace and tolerance.
[...]Conference-goers Saturday said their message was celebratory and the march ended without incident.
Hubert Zhou, 36, an engineer from Buffalo Grove, said he came to Saturday's events after he and seven other Falun Gong practitioners from the Chicago area were denied an Icelandair flight Wednesday from Minneapolis to Reykjavik, Iceland, where Chinese President Jiang Zemin is visiting.
"[We] had intended to do there what is illegal in China--sit peacefully in public and meditate as a silent protest against Jiang Zemin's brutal persecution of Falun Gong," Zhou said.
"I feel that if I can do something for Chinese people, it is worth being here," Zhou said. The world, he said, "needs the three creeds of Falun Gong: [truthfulness], compassion and tolerance."

A Kitchener woman fears for Canadians' freedom of religion when they travel after her husband was barred from entering Iceland on Tuesday.
Jie Guo said her husband Bo Yang was one of about 70 Falun Gong practitioners, including about 10 from Canada, detained overnight because of their spirituality.
"It's unbelievable; it's unreasonable to get detained in a democratic country for spiritual beliefs," she said with the help of interpreter Jinying Yin of Waterloo.
"Today, it's Falun Gong. Maybe tomorrow, it's Christians."
An additional six Canadians were among a group of 36 people prevented from boarding a flight from Copenhagen, Denmark, on Tuesday.
Practitioners of Falun Gong, the meditation and spirituality movement also known as Falun Dafa, were also barred from flights in Boston and Paris.
Icelandic police said they detained the Falun Gong practitioners because there were not enough police to control rallies being planned by adherents protesting a visit by Chinese President Jiang Zemin.
Jiang arrived in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik yesterday afternoon.
In 1999, China began a violent crackdown on Falun Gong, which emerged as a spiritual and exercise movement in China 10 years ago.
After the government denounced the movement [...], more than 350 practitioners are reported to have died in Chinese labour camps and mental hospitals after being arrested and tortured, say government opponents and human rights advocates.
Guo said she doesn't believe her fellow practitioners posed a danger, so detaining them overnight wasn't warranted.
Previous demonstrations in the United States and Europe, which practitioners prefer to call "appeals to human rights," have been peaceful, she said.
Icelandic authorities released the detainees on Wednesday, including Yang, after volunteers promised to cooperate with police and rally only in designated areas.
Guo said after her husband arrived in Iceland and was quizzed by airport authorities, he was detained in a converted school several kilometres from the airport.
Guo said she hasn't spoken with her husband since he left Canada on Monday, but she is getting e-mail updates from other practitioners.
She has tried calling her husband on his cellphone, but hasn't been able to reach him, Guo said.
The Record's attempts to reach Yang in Iceland also were not successful.
Guo and Yang became landed immigrants in Canada about four years ago after immigrating from Beijing and started practising Falun Gong shortly afterward.
They moved to Kitchener with their three-year-old son about a month ago.
Yang, who works as a design engineer for an auto parts manufacturer in Stratford, is a Chinese citizen and travelled to Iceland with a Chinese passport.
Guo said she didn't worry about his safety because Iceland is a democratic country.
But Guo said she worries that Chinese authorities are flexing their political and economic muscle to clamp down on Falun Gong practitioners beyond their borders and regardless of their citizenship.
Reynald Doiron, a spokesman for the foreign affairs department, said the Canadian government disagrees with Chinese law that outlaws the practice of Falun Gong, calling it a violation of human rights.
"Every time a Canadian citizen who is a Falun Gong practitioner has been rounded up by Chinese police, we have intervened," he said.
But that stance doesn't apply to Iceland, he said.
Iceland can refuse anyone they want from entering the country, he said, and he disagreed with the claim that Iceland was conducting religious profiling.

REYKJAVIK, June 15 (AFP) - Police had to disperse followers of the Falun Gong [group] as visiting Chinese President Jiang spent his second day in Iceland visiting tourist sites.
Police evacuated several members and Icelandic supporters of Falun Gong, [...]when Jiang arrived at the Geysir natural spring.
Several hundred Falun Gong [practitioners], who claim their movement is subject to severe repression in China where their [group] is outlawed, were refused entry to Iceland this week, [...] nearly 1,000 [people] demonstrated Friday in front of the parliament building.
Jiang had to change his schedule Friday because of the demonstrations, but still held talks on human rights with Icelandic officials.
Protestors also gathered Friday evening in front of Perland, the official residence of President Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, who was holding an official dinner with Jiang and his wife.
The Chinese leader reportedly surprised all in attendance when he rose from his seat to sing in the middle of dinner.
Jiang is to leave Iceland on Sunday for Lithuania.

Hong Kong: As the government prepares to bring its first criminal case against 16 [practitioners] of the Falun Gong movement Monday, human rights watchdogs are predicting another test of the former British colony's freedoms. Falun Gong is banned on the Chinese mainland [...]. But Hong Kong, although a part of China since 1997, has kept the freedoms that allow Falun Gong to practice its meditation exercises and to protest against the Chinese government's suppression of the movement. Falun Gong worries Hong Kong is following China's lead and trying to silence the group -- a charge Hong Kong's semiautonomous government denies.

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 15, 2002, Falun Gong practitioners in France and the practitioners from different countries who were forced to stay at Paris due to the Icelandic government's ban on their entering the country held a press conference in front of the Chinese Embassy, protesting against the despicable action that the Jiang's regime put pressure to democratic country to violate Falun Gong practitioners' legal human rights. Practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and sent forth righteous thoughts together as a group.
(Clearwisdom.net) On noon of June 14, several human rights organizations in New York City jointly held a rally in spite of the rain in Manhattan in front of the offices of the Permanent Representative of Iceland to the United Nations. The purpose of the protest was against the Icelandic government's accepting a blacklist provided by Jiang's regime and used to bar Falun Gong practitioners holding valid passports and air tickets from entering the country.
A practitioner from the Falun Dafa Information Center was invited to give a speech, in which he expressed regret over the incorrect decision made by the Icelandic government under pressure applied by Jiang to bar Falun Gong practitioners from entering the country. He also strongly condemned the illegal action taken by Jiang, dictator and butcher of the Chinese people, to apply intense pressure on the countries he is visiting. He pointed out that during the past three years, under the circumstance that millions of practitioners in China are encountering the brutal persecution; Falun Gong practitioners across the world have always used totally peaceful means to appeal, which is a manifestation of their kindness and spirit of non-violence. The Icelandic government's capitulating to the Chinese dictator, was a shame on its democracy, and has drawn strong opposition from the Icelandic people. He requested that the Icelandic judicial department reconsider this decision and demonstrate the principles of freedom as practiced by democratic countries to the world.
Representatives from several human rights organizations including the "Peking's Spring" Journal, the Chinese Human Right, the Chinese Social Democratic Party, the Chinese Democratic Association, the Asian Democratic Foundation, the Freedom Tibet Student Organization, the Chinese Catholicism Information Center, the Chinese Freedom Church delivered speeches to express their support to Falun Gong. They also expressed their esteem to Falun Gong practitioners for their great contribution and tremendous sacrifice for the improvements of everyone's freedom. They expressed their indignation towards the Jiang government's putting pressure on the Icelandic government to unreasonably bar Falun Gong practitioners from entering Iceland. They said, "We must let the Chinese Party know that we won't sit by and watch they trampling the freedom of other countries. We must stand on the side of Falun Gong and say 'No!' to the dictator." This is an issue of all who are concerning the future of China.
Mr. Xue, from the "Peking's Spring" Journal represented all friends to express the opposition to the Jiang government's extension of its dictatorship overseas through the Icelandic government to bar Falun Gong practitioners from entering Iceland. He considered this as a shame for the Icelandic government.
Representative of the Chinese Social Democratic Party believed what was awful was that the western democratic country bowed to the Jiang dictatorship. He said in his speech that one should not forget the historic lesson in the 1930s when western countries compromised to Nazi Germany.
Mr. Tang Qiaobai, a member of a democratic organization, called on all people to stand up to speak out for Falun Gong. Mr. Tang believed that Falun Gong is a peaceful group, who has made vast contributions to strive for freedom and democracy. We all firmly stand on the side of Falun Gong.
Ms. Wei Ling gave two speeches to express her indignation towards Jiang's regime who extended its dictatorship overseas. She said, "We can't only consider trade contracts. When others are encountering persecution, we all must stand up to oppose the dictatorship."
Mr. Liu Qing, the president of the Chinese Human Rights pointed out that the Chinese government made a blacklist in its homeland to deprive Chinese citizens of their rights to go abroad or return to China. Now they even extend their human rights violations to the whole world. We must take a correct attitude toward this, expose it and stop it. We first need to tell those democratic countries who accepted the blacklist provided by the Chinese government that they should not take the side of the dictatorship and help it to violate human rights and to silence the voice from the weak.
A few American Falun Gong practitioners who had valid passports and air tickets but were unreasonably deprived of their travel rights by Icelandair, which forced them to remain in New York, were also invited to give speeches. They came from California, Wisconsin, and New Jersey, respectively. They expressed that they would continue to request boarding tonight.
After the rally, representatives from each human rights organization handed over the protest letter to the Permanent Representative of Iceland to the United Nations but were barred by the personnel in the building.

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] A 12-Year-Old Girl is Arrested and Detained on "June 1" International Children's Day
In Early May of this year, Lanzhou City Police abducted a female Dafa practitioner and her 12-year-old daughter. They were arrested and detained in the Xiguoyuan Detention Center. It is believed that right before June 1, the girl and her mother were secretly transferred to a brainwashing center in Gongjiawan, Lanzhou City, where the persecutors continued to detain and torture them.
The girl and her mother had been forced to leave their home in order to avoid torture and harassment by the authorities. They became homeless and destitute, moving around frequently in Lanzhou City to avoid further persecution. The girl was forced to leave her school and her studies were interrupted, and her mother was forced to leave her job and her means to support her daughter. The family was put under immense hardship due to the actions by the authorities.
We urgently call on all mothers, related organizations in the United Nations, and all people with a sense of justice to pay attention to the incident and condemn these serious human rights violations against innocent people. We also strongly urge the Chinese government to release the 12-year-old girl and her mother immediately and unconditionally.
2. [Jincheng City, Shanxi Province] Practitioner Deng Xianglian and Sun Hua from Henan Province was Abducted by the Authorities of Jincheng City's Detention Center
Practitioner Deng Xianglian (female, 58) and Sun Hua are both excellent teachers from Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. They were forced to become homeless to avoid further persecution and they became destitute. The two practitioners were arrested while they were clarifying the truth to people on March 9, 2002 in Lingchuan County, Shanxi Province. They refused to tell their names and addresses to the police. The Lingchuan County Police reported the matter as an important case to their superiors. Deng and Sun are currently detained in the Jincheng City Detention Center of Shanxi Province, and their family members are not allowed to visit them.
The two practitioners continued to clarify the truth inside the detention center and firmly refuse to cooperate with the evil. They went on a hunger strike for over 10 days. During the brutal force-feeding, the persecutors injured Deng Xianglian's stomach, causing it to bleed internally, putting the 58-year-old lady in a critical condition. Their work unit and the detention center offered to "guarantee" for them as long as they wrote letters renouncing Falun Gong, and they even offered to write the renouncing letters for them, but the two practitioners firmly refused.
3. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] An Excellent Teacher is Unlawfully Arrested and Detained for 4 Months
I am a teacher in a primary school in Suining City, and 35 years old. On November 11, 2001, the police arrested me while I was taking a walk with my friends. I was unlawfully arrested and detained in a police station for 4 months. They even sentenced me to a forced labor camp term without trial. I firmly oppose all of the persecution, because I am innocent.
4. [China] Teacher's Compassion Awakens A Practitioner
After July 20, 1999, a practitioner's mother gave up her cultivation. During the Spring Festival of 2002, the practitioner's brother gave his mother a ride on his motorcycle to visit some relatives. A van hit the motorcycle from behind. Coming out from under the van, the brother had no injury on him, and his clothes were all intact. The van's tires rolled over the mother's left arm twice, but she had only some minor injuries, with no bone fracture. People who learned about the accident were all very surprised at their good luck. The mother later realized that Teacher's law body was protecting her. Awakened by Teachers' great compassion, the mother started to practice Falun Dafa again.
5. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Jilin City's "610" Office Encourages Crimes with the Offer of Huge "Awards"
The Jilin City "610" office ordered the "110" (emergency response number like "dialing 911" in the U.S.) police said, "For arresting one Falun Gong practitioner, you will be awarded with 2000 Yuan." [Note: The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] [ The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, but only 200 Yuan for a rural worker.]
6. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] The "610" Office Distributes Fliers and Encourages Crimes To Be Committed Against Practitioners
In April 2002, the "610" office of Hanchuan City started to intensively distribute fliers that slander Falun Gong to every student in primary and middle school. The persecutors purpose was to stir up hatred toward Dafa into the students' minds and encourage them through offering monitary awards to report practitioners, who are clarifying the truth to people. They even specified the amount of "awards" on the fliers. For example, "reporting a practitioner who distributes truth-clarifying fliers will be awarded with 500 Yuan." The "awards" can go up to thousands of Yuan. [ The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, but only 200 Yuan for a rural worker.]
Under the instigation and temptation, some people have already reported practitioners for the "awards."
On the night of May 16, 2002, while female practitioners Ouyang, Zhang Dongjiao, Gao Zhihong, and Fu Zaixian were distributing truth-clarifying fliers in Makouxiang Town, some people reported them to the local police. As a result, the police arrested the practitioners. Currently, they are detained at the No. 2 Detention Center of Hanchuan City. (Ouyang and Zhang Dongjiao is in the process of being transferred to the No. 1 Detention Center of Hanchuan City)
On May 18, staff of the "610" office abducted practitioner Wang Qing from his work unit without any proper legal procedures. They then directly sent Wang to the Shayang Forced Labor Camp. Also, a 67-year-old practitioner Chen Deming and a female practitioner, Peng Liumei, were transferred from the No. 1 Detention Center of Hanchuan City to Shayang Forced Labor Camp.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Police Guards from Baishazhou Beat Practitioners at the Yangyuan Brainwashing Class in Wuchang District
On March 27, 2002, I clarified the truth to a police guard from Baishazhou (Badge #: Hubei-032082). The guard did not listen to me, and he kicked the door of the cell violently. I said to him, "Don't be so vicious." My words made him furious. He opened the door and slapped my face ferociously. My mouth was bleeding from the torture. I said that beating people is illegal. He then pushed me onto the bed and beat me up. At the time, practitioners in the whole building were crying out loud, "Don't beat people." When the "610" staff came, they not only did not stop the perpetrator, but also threatened to sentence me. I said to them firmly, "I want to clarify the truth to you. You can choose not to listen to me, but beating people violates the law. It is him who should be sentenced."

On May 28, 2002 [Lunar calendar April 17, 2002], fellow practitioner Xing Jiaqiu (male, 27) and I posted Dafa truth clarifying banners, and painted "Falun Dafa Is Good!" signs on Hongle Mountain in Gangtun township. Several police ruffians from the Gangtun police station arrested us on our way down the mountain.
Three of the police kicked and beat us to the ground, then tied our hands behind our backs. They stripped the clothes off Xing's upper body and beat him. Three other police slapped me across my face, punched and kicked me, until the corner of my right eye, nose, lips, and ears were bleeding. One of the police struck me in the head with a fist size stone causing a bleeding half-inch gash. They also took off our shoes and made us walk barefoot. At around 8pm, we were thrown to a concrete floor in the Gangtun police station guarding office.
The policemen who came one by one to ask for our identity were violent. They recognized Xing, as a Dafa practitioner from Gangtun as he was on the police's wanted list. So Wang Aimin, head of police personally tortured and interrogated Xing for information regarding other Dafa practitioner and the source of Dafa materials. Xing's cries and the sounds of his beating could be heard all over the courtyard, I heard it clearly.
Other policemen kept on coming to try and force me to tell my name, address and age. They punched and kicked my head, face, shoulder, legs and feet, and then they handcuffed me to a bed by forcing me to kneel on the floor. The handcuffs cut deeply into my flesh and hurt badly. They flipped me in the air onto the bed while kicking and beating me, then put me on the floor again, my wrists were covered in blood. They also dug into my eyes, pinched my ears, hit me about the head with their fists, beat my face with belts, dug deeply into my ribs with their thumbs among other things in order to torture me.
Since they failed using violence, they turned to the "soft" approach. Some policemen began talking to me "showing" concern for me in order to get my identity. At their wit's end, they cuffed me to a radiator, then moved me to the second floor for further torture after they had tortured Xing enough.
From about 2am one night til 3pm the next afternoon Xing was tortured leaving him with egg-sized open wounds and looking very weak. Then they cuffed Xing to a radiator. Four policemen tried intimidating me to give up my identity. I refused. Exasperated, two young policemen kicked me randomly in the groin, hips, legs, and hands. They hit my face with a leather belt, and forced me to kneel, then they would force me up by pulling me by my hair, or they would hit my hips with piked clubs (my hips were left bruised). Tired out and unable to achieve their goal, they tied me to a bench with my legs bound together by a belt.
There were six policemen in the room with me, 5 of them were sound asleep, the last one looked half asleep. Between 4am and dawn I successfully loosened the ropes on my hands and the belt on my legs. So I walked barefoot out of the room, through the corridor door and then out the courtyard. I had to hold my clothes with my hands since they were torn to pieces. The doorkeeper saw me but didn't say anything. After walking out of the gate, I ran to the trails, crossed some woods, creeks, and then mountains. After about three hours and a distance of more than 10 Li [5 kilometers], I escaped.
Xing remains in the vicious Huludao Detention Center. Police are torturing him in order to get the information of other Dafa practitioners and Dafa material sources. Please send forth righteous thoughts to help him be freed.

After practicing Falun Gong for several years, not only had my mother benefited from it, but the whole family had also benefited from it as well. However, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, which has been on going for the last three years is now affecting our family as well. As a member of the family, I would like to say a few words about the injustices experienced by Falun Gong practitioners.
After a year of observing the situation, my mother finally made up her mind. She decided to visit Beijing and lodge an appeal, exercise her right as a citizen, and use her personal experience as an example to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa.
Two weeks after her arrest in Beijing, I found out the whereabouts of my mother. When I visited her at the detention center, I noticed that many officers were new. From talking with them, I found out that because of the recent economic recession many government departments were laying off people, and unless they accepted the posts as warders at the detention centers, they would be made redundant. When I pointed out to them that they were doing the wrong thing, they were surprised. So I gave them an example. "What is the difference between a thief or a robber and a person who makes a living by taking up a post which does bad things? Besides many officers at the center took the law into their own hands and tortured the innocent Dafa practitioners. Chinese have always believed in reward and retribution for good and bad deeds. Does it mean that if one lived under the umbrella of a great tyrant, he would not be punished?" After a lengthy talk with them, those officers began to understand the principle. They indicated that they were blinded by the government's propaganda and had become an accomplice to a crime without knowing the implications.
Later, I talked to the officers at the police station many times. At first, the police were extremely unfriendly but later their manners softened . They told me that they themselves were also instruments of the state, and they had to survive. I told them that what they had done to the Falun Gong practitioners was against the law. Once the country comes back on track again, their crimes would be exposed and they would be punished. I further explained to them the principle of reward and retribution of good and evil and why the Falun Gong practitioners distributed brochures and expose the evil.
I visited the security branch office, "610" and talked to many others responsible for the persecution. All of them told me that this was not the time to talk reason. I said that my mother's visit to Beijing was simply to let people know her feeling of the persecution. How does an elderly lady, with no weapon in her hands overturn the government? I further told them that the principles of reward and retribution, but they did not want to accept my explanation. Then I asked them, "Shouldn't a person who has committed a crime be punished?" and they did not deny the fact. I then pointed out the fallacy of leaders in power in the past and the mistakes they made. They had nothing to say, but said let the Falun Gong issue be settled by history. Those people had lost their feelings and were blindly selfish; not only were they trying to fool the public, but they were fooling themselves also.
For the last two years, I have discovered many interesting phenomena: Many government officials knew very well that they were doing the wrong thing, yet they still continued to do so, mainly because they did not believe that good and evil actions receive their due. Similarly, many people had made destructive comments even though they knew nothing about Falun Gong. But, when you asked them to find out more about it, they were scared to death. The most unbelievable thing is that even some family members of many Falun Gong practitioners, members who had benefited themselves from practicing Falun Gong, but because of the pressure exerted on them, had turned against Falun Gong as well. Looking from another perspective, the whole thing reflects the moral level of the whole society. Some people, for the fear of losing their personal benefits, could betray their wives, children, or parents - they were afraid to go against the evil persecution. The feeling does give one a chill through the spine.
Because of their disbelief in the heavenly principle, the existence of Buddhas and Gods, many people have become egoistic and ignorant, and ventured into all types of evil.

"I know it clearly in my heart."
A Dafa practitioner told his relatives and friends, "Don't believe the propaganda about Falun Gong on national television." His relatives and friends replied, "We know in our hearts, the politicians always do things this way. In the past, they said that all the bad things were done by landowners and rich peasants. Now, they blame everything on Falun Gong.
"I have come to realize that they wrongly accuse Falun Gong for many things."
A Dafa practitioner gave her friend a truth-clarification flyer about Falun Gong but he was not willing to read it. Not long after, the friend said, "I didn't believe what you told me about the staged immolation catastrophe in Tiananmen Square, that it was a total deception by the government to frame Falun Gong. But now, I believe what you said was true. I also saw a murder case being investigated. When the police were unable to solve the case, they made up stories to try and blame it on Falun Gong. They even told the victim's family that the murder was perpetrated by Falun Gong practitioners. I know that this cannot be true and have therefore come to realize the Jiang's regime wrongly accuses Falun Gong for many things it had nothing to do with."
The Management of a Local Chinese Government Protects a Falun Dafa Practitioner

"We have no right to fire a person of virtue. It is against the law to do so."
A local Chinese government in the south actively protected a staff member who practices Falun Gong from the evil "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. They see through the deceptions designed to justify the Jiang-led persecution against Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa practitioners; they refused to fall prey to Jiang's manipulation or to participate in the persecution against Falun Dafa.
Not long ago, the 610 Office, which coordinates the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong, sent its brainwashing staff to this local Chinese government to take a Falun Gong practitioner prisoner for brainwashing sessions. They also ordered the department to pay 5,000 Chinese Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] for the brainwashing expenses. The management at this local Chinese government told the 610 officers that they refused to pay for the brainwashing expenses because there simply wasn't a matching expense item in the department's accounting categories. When the 610 officers realized that they could not obtain any money by fraud, they then told the management to dismiss the Falun Gong practitioner from the department. The management replied sternly and forcefully in the cause of justice, "She is an excellent employee at our department. We have no right to fire a person of virtue. It is against the law to do so." The evil 610 officers had to stop their efforts. The management had successfully protected the Falun Gong practitioner from this wicked agency.
A Chinese Citizen Rationally Discerns the Truth
A Falun Dafa practitioner in China once told a friend, who taught at a high school, that people in more than fifty countries practiced Falun Gong, and all those countries supported Falun Gong. The high school teacher could not believe what he had just heard. Not long ago, the practitioner ran into his friend, who now had become suspicious of the Chinese government. "I now believe what you said about Falun Dafa spreading around the globe. One of my colleagues at school told us that during his recent business trip to Hong Kong, he saw Falun Gong practitioners freely distributing Falun Gong books and VCDs everywhere on the streets. I have contemplated this discrepancy between the words of the Chinese government's stories since then. If there had been one single case in which a Falun Gong practitioner had committed suicide or murder outside of China, the Chinese government would surely have broadcasted the news all over China. But the Chinese government has not been able to cite a single case so far. I smell fraud in the Chinese government."

A Wonderful Voice Clarifies the Truth
Living in Beijing, many relatives, good friends and colleagues of a Falun Dafa practitioner received truth-clarifying phone calls from practitioners abroad. A colleague told this disciple, "Yesterday I got a phone call from your fellow Falun Gong practitioners overseas. It was a recording that clarified many facts including the Self-Immolation! I listened to it quietly until it was finished. That voice was so wonderful!"
Manager: "I Know that Falun Dafa Is Good!"
In Northeast China, a factory manager in a certain city knows the truth about Dafa, and supports Falun Dafa. Xiao Liu, a worker in the factory, is a Dafa practitioner. Every day Xiao Liu goes to the factory early and leaves late to go home, working conscientiously. During his break time, he spreads the Fa and tells the truth to his colleagues. His manager admires Xiao Liu very much. Whenever it rains and the factory employees can not continue their work, the manager says to him, "Play your (Falun Dafa) tapes and introduce your Dafa to them." Then he would say to his employees, "Our factory would prosper if all of you could become like him."
One day when totaling the time cards, Xiao Liu accidentally recorded an extra half a day's work for another employee. On payday he went to his manager to return the money he'd been overpaid. Being moved by his sincerity, the manager said to him, "You keep the money and accept it as my gift. I know that Falun Dafa is good."
Nowadays, as more and more people realize the truth of Dafa, the number of people who can see through the government propaganda and remain clear-minded, like this manager, is increasing.
(Clearwisdom.net) This is the story of a little girl named Susan and a little boy named Sam. It took place in a small town in the southern US at the turn of the last century.
Unable to Understand Darkness
Susana and Sam were neighbors. Susana's parents were poor country folk and Sam was the child of a carpenter. Susana lost her eyesight after a severe illness when she was one year old. Sam and Susana hung around together ever since they were little, and had become very close friends.
It was not until Susana was three that she had learned to walk, at which time Sam was already eight years old. He took her to rivers and mountains, he taught her how to fly a kite, and they tended geese in the pasture together. He didn't mind that she was a little blind girl. At the age of four, Susana was able to tell the directions of the wind, she smelled the flowers and listened to the birds sing. With her hair styled in two braids, she was extremely introverted and shy, and was not good at verbally expressing herself. Kids in the town mocked her and would not play with her. Once, when a boy made a face at her, Sam tried to stop him. The little boy said, "Susana can't see me! She's blind, anyway. She'll be living in darkness forever."
This was the first time Susana had heard the word "darkness." She asked Sam what darkness meant, but Sam didn't know how to answer the question.
To be Able to Feel the Light is Good Enough
When Susana was five years old, one day Sam came over to visit. He took her to the window and let her face feel the warmth of the sunshine. Then he asked her what she felt. After standing in the afternoon sun for a long while, the little girl said, "warm." After a little while longer, she added, "a little bit hot." So Sam told her, "Susana, as long as you are able to feel the light, that is good enough. You don't need to know what darkness is."
Susana started to learn to read Braille when she turned six, whereas Sam, who had just turned eleven, went to school in town. Sam never treated Susana like a blind person. They still climbed mountains and grazed animals together. Susana even learned to climb trees. Sometimes Susana fell asleep on a tree branch, and Sam would carry her home on his back. Keeping each other company, this is how they grew up together.
One day, early in the morning after a rain, Susana was in her room when she heard people cheering outside. Kids were clapping their hands shouting: "Look! Look quickly!" She came out from her house and asked, "Sam, what happened?" Sam replied excitedly, "It's a rainbow! It's such a magnificent sight to see!" Susana suddenly started crying, and this was the first time that she had cried for not being able to see.
Yearning for Mysterious China in the East
By the time Susana was nine, in addition to reading Braille, she could tell all kinds of stories. Kids in the town came to listen to her story-telling every Sunday. Ever since then, nobody ever bullied her again. Even adults felt strange about how she could know so much without being able to see.
Sam had already gone out of town to attend high school. When he came back every weekend, he told Susana what had happened at school. He collected a lot of colorful glass beads and gave them to Susana. Sam's favorite subject in school was History. He told Susana about an ancient country named China on the other side of the earth. In this eastern country lived noble emperors and princesses with dark hair. Since then, both of them had a yearning for this mysterious country.
A Giant God Appeared in a Beautiful Circle of Light
Sweet and wonderful--they grew up together this way. But when Susana was eleven they ran into something very strange. It was one summer evening, while they were catching fireflies by the river. All of a sudden, a circle of light appeared in front of Sam's eyes, which emitted a glittering of extremely beautiful, yet gentle and bright colors. Sam had never seen anything like it.
Sam was extremely surprised. He lowered his voice and said, "Susana!" At that moment, Susana also felt very warm. She asked, "Sam, what is it? Is it light?" In a blink of an eye, Sam saw a giant man appear inside the light circle. He was beautiful, beyond description. He stood in the light circle, looking down on them kindly. Sam and Susana were immersed in a ray of light. Meanwhile they heard a kind voice telling them, "You are my children." At the time it seemed as if the whole world had become very quiet.
Promise of Future Visit in the East
This was such a magical moment! They were still immersed in this magical atmosphere even after the giant man had disappeared. They stayed very still and did not move. This was truly an unforgettable summer. At first, Susana thought what Sam had seen was God, but Sam assured her that the giant man he had seen was not God, for he was wearing golden-yellow clothes.
After Sam returned to school, he searched for information regarding golden-yellow clothes. When he went back home he told Susana, only an Eastern God would wear this kind of clothes and stand inside a big light circle, and people refer to him as a "Buddha." Yet they didn't understand why this giant Buddha said that they were his children, and weren't they God's children? They didn't dare to tell the adults about this experience. Nevertheless, this secret of summer made them yearn for the East even more. So they made a promise that after they were grown up they would go to the East and look for this giant Buddha.
Yet Destiny is Beyond One's Control
In no time, Sam and Susana had become adults. Their friendship had grown even stronger. They were able to understand each other even without exchanging words. Finally leaving their parents and bidding goodbye to the small town, they landed in a big city to earn a living. Sam had two jobs, one as a postman, and the other working in a restaurant. He worked very hard in order to make enough money to travel. He wanted to go to India first, because he was deeply into Indian Yoga. Working for a warfare institute, Susana wanted to become a writer. Of course, neither had forgotten about that summer secret of theirs, nor had they forgotten about their promise.
After being through the extraordinary experience of that summer, Susana miraculously began to see all kinds of marvelous scenes in her mind. She often told Sam that her memory of the light comes from that summer when she was a child. She is able to see the things that belong inside the mind, yet she can't see the things outside the mind that you and I can see. She was able to see other worlds yet she could not see this world.
However, destiny is beyond one's control. When she was twenty-three, Susana was infected with malaria, which back then was a very terrible disease. Susana was tortured by malaria for eleven days. She died during the night on the eleventh day. Before she died, she asked Sam, "Promise me that if I'm ever in darkness again in my next life, please help me again. Promise me, that in your next life you'll go to the East to look for that giant, eastern Buddha.
Finding Each Other in This Life to Fulfill Old Promises
What heartbreaking sorrow brings separation in life and parting at death! With tears in his eyes, Sam kept nodding his head. They were both influenced by the eastern spirits and believed in the next life. They had grown up together as intimate partners, yet when facing death, they were so caught off guard that they didn't know what to do. They didn't even have the chance to exchange the words that had been buried deep in each others hearts, "I love you!"
In this life, the woman who used to be Susana has become a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in Mainland China. Her past life story plays like a movie before her eyes. She sighed, "Hi, Sam. Time flows backwards, and the wooden toys and colorful glass beads that you gave Susana are still there, coated with the dust of time. Maybe you can't remember our old friendship, but I still want to thank you for keeping your promise. When I returned to darkness, you really offered me help again. However, we all owe our thanks to destiny, because we really have found the Lord of Buddhas, and this is the true meaning of our lives!"
