Some Thoughts about Being One Body
(Clearwisdom.net) During the process of cultivation and Fa-rectification, each and every one
of us has his or her own barriers that come from karma and attachments. As for the whole body of
practitioners in one area, there are also tribulations for that particular area. The old forces
arranged tests and tribulations for the whole body of cultivators as well as for the individuals in
it. If we cannot form one body or clearly recognize the problems existing across the group, it will
be hard for the whole body to overcome tests and tribulations. This will result in endless tests and
tribulations amongst individuals or an inharmonious situation in the whole area for an extended
period of time. Sometimes we feel that it is the whole body that is not harmonious. In fact, each and every one
of us is part of the group. When we put ourselves within the body, rather than being self-righteous
or self-centered, the selfishness at the individual level will be gradually lessened and erased. Whenever we see problems in fellow practitioners, we should take them as our own problems. Since
we have seen them, they must have some relationship with ourselves. In ordinary society, everyday
people follow the principle of staying away from irrelevant things so as to avoid trouble. Yet our
practitioners ought to be responsible for all righteous elements and for the whole body of
cultivators. Written on May 22, 2002. Posting date: 5/31/2002
