Completely See Through the Interference of the Old Forces that Exists Everywhere

In the Fa-rectification period, Master has told us to do three things well: Study the Fa diligently, send forth righteous thoughts and clarify the truth. Every diligent Dafa disciple tries very hard to do these things, but why do there always continue to be omissions? Why do conflicts still exist? Could it be because we have not tried hard enough when checking within ourselves, thus allowing the old forces the opportunity to make use of our omissions? Master told us in the Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.: "Also, you need to pay attention to one issue: you are Dafa disciples, so you should always look within whenever you run into problems--it's guaranteed that many of the problems are your problems, whether you want to look at yourself or not, or whether you think of them or not. In the future, when you see the truth, you'll realize that everything had a reason."

With this in mind, I can calmly check within myself and I find that the old forces often make use of ordinary people's feelings to drag down Dafa disciples. For example, the old forces make you have many negative feelings, including feelings full of misery and complaint, self-pity, self-criticism, selfishness, egoism, self-conceit, etc. When these negative feelings occur, you immediately fall to the level of ordinary people. However, when you really look deeply, you will find that it is actually selfishness that is interfering with you. This selfishness penetrates up to very high levels, and it is precisely the manifestation of the impurity of the old evil forces. As Fa-rectification disciples, we must rectify all that is not righteous. How can we allow ourselves to be interfered with by them?

When I see through all these subtle things that are not righteous, I use the righteous mindset that I enlightened to within the Fa to assimilate to Dafa -- that is, an unselfish mind with no complaints, no hatred, no egotism, one that is indestructible, and that contains all-inclusive capabilities. To compare these two mindsets, one is led by selfishness, the other is led by unselfishness after assimilating to Dafa. There is a principle in the universe: "No Loss, No Gain." "What we lose is actually something bad. What is it? It is karma, and it goes hand in hand with different human attachments. For example, everyday people have all kinds of bad thoughts. For self-interest, they commit various wrong deeds and will acquire this black substance, karma. This directly involves our own minds" (Zhuan Falun). So, whenever I find human notions creeping in, I eliminate them immediately. We should restore a pure and righteous cultivation field that is beneficial to everyone and everything around us -- to people, things, all sentient beings and situations. In our cultivation, there can be no excuse to hide our own shortcomings; neither should we look to the Fa to find any reason to excuse our behavior or omissions. Otherwise, it is truly ourselves that suffer the loss.
