(Clearwisdom.net) While the Chinese People's Congress was in session on March 5, 2002, Changchun City cable network aired a 40-50 minute Falun Gong truth clarification program. The Falun Gong practitioners who participated in this activity will be known to history as model citizens who upheld the constitution of the country.
The constitution is the fundamental law of a nation. As such, it is the foundation of a nation and is therefore sacred and inviolable. It follows, then, that interfering with the constitution damages the foundation of the nation, which is a most vicious crime. It is only natural, then, that people have the right and duty to safeguard the constitution and stop the crime, with all possible means at their disposal.
The Chinese constitution says that its citizens have freedom of belief; however, the Jiang regime uses terrorist policies such as "ruin their reputation, destroy them financially and eliminate them physically," and "killing of Falun Gong practitioners is nothing and should be counted as suicide." As of now, at least 375 kind-hearted people who refused to give up their faith have died from countless abuses, and many of them were brutally tortured to death. Other than this bloody fact, hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners were and are illegally detained in forced labor camps and jails where they were ravaged. Countless other practitioners were and are still being kidnapped into brainwashing classes, where they are forced to vow to abandon their faith against their free will. The Falun Gong practitioners were and still are completely deprived of their freedom of belief.
The Chinese constitution says its citizens have freedom of speech, but the ruling regime uses its mouthpiece media to wantonly slander Falun Gong, while it forbids Falun Gong practitioners to speak out. Therefore, the practitioners have to resort to posting flyers, hanging banners, distributing video and compact discs and other peaceful means to exercise their freedom of speech, and at the same time save people from being deluded by lies. However, these extremely peaceful Falun Gong people have been kidnapped, brutally beaten and even killed by lawless police and "610 Office" [Note: The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary system] personnel, under orders of and abetted by Jiang and his accomplices. The practitioners are completely deprived of their freedom of speech and other citizens are completely deprived of their right to know the truth.
In this situation, practitioners in Changchun City and people with a sense of justice used the TV network to clarify the truth to people. This is an act that upholds freedom of belief and speech, which is also safeguarding the constitution. This great feat will be remembered in the history of China.
The truth-clarifying video exposed the lies that Jiang's regime has propagated in its indoctrination of the people for the past two years. This broadcast tore off their mask and showed the true face of the terrorist persecution. You can imagine how frightened those who use lies and violence to sustain their power are now.
Because of his utter fear, the evil dictator again wants to make use of his so-called laws to persecute these guardians of justice who upheld the constitution. It was learned that Jiang's regime has ordered personnel from various "610 Offices" to make up a list of names for those Falun Dafa practitioners destined for execution and heavy jail sentences. It's not hard to see that the law of "the man in Beijing" is no different from those laws in history that were made especially for the ethnic cleansing of other people. It is the same as Stalin's law that was used to eliminate his political enemies and dissidents. These "laws" are all outside the law. The so-called "610 Office" is just another version of the KGB in China. Jiang's so-called law is a sword hanging above people's heads. The true laws of the nation are never applied to Falun Gong practitioners.
Maybe someone will say, "Isn't it illegal to use a TV channel to express your own opinion without permission? You can't even do this in the U.S. where there is freedom of speech and autonomy." And yet, I would like to ask, "Does the president of the U.S. deprive any of his citizens of freedom of belief? Does he use all TV and newspapers to slander a certain spiritual belief? Does he use the law to persecute any citizen through his control of the House of Representatives? Does he instruct the courts to send any innocent citizen to jail? Suppose Christians in the U.S. were suffering from the same kind of persecution the Falun Gong practitioners have suffered--wouldn't they have used all peaceful means to protest?"
I have also read an article in a Chinese newspaper that says, "The Chinese government doesn't allow the practice and promotion of Falun Gong, so this rule must be for the benefit of the people, just like when the U.S. government rules that people have to go through tedious security checks in airports. So we should obey the government." This statement is really ridiculous. The current Chinese government is under complete control of a dictator who was not chosen by the people. The so-called government's rule is his rule alone. The phrase, "So it must be for the benefit of the people" is basically wrong from the start. I would like to ask this person, if someone keeps and manages all of your property by force, would you call this person's intervention for your own good, no matter what he does? Obviously you wouldn't. Then, if a government wants to control everything, how can you claim that it's doing so 'for the good of the people?'"
Indeed, the U.S. government also makes some rules, but American citizens always closely scrutinize their government. The president doesn't have the power to make any law, nor does he have the power to influence the courts. The American people and media constantly monitor and restrain the president, the House and Senate and the courts, to ensure that the government does not violate its citizens' rights. The government is not allowed to have its own media. But in China? In China, the dictator completely controls the government and the machinery of state violence; the media is the dictator's mouthpiece and it serves the dictator's sole purpose of defending and slandering. The so-called "most powerful law-making institute," the People's Congress, merely rubber-stamps the dictator's edicts. The courts absolutely cannot decide any cases on their own. The Politics and Law Committee decides the innocence or guilt of an accused, as well as that person's length of punishment; it is all controlled by the dictator. Under such circumstances, how can the government serve for the benefit of the people?
In China right now, the ones who victimize people and sell out their country have high official positions. The people who speak the truth and support justice are being murdered. The dictator and his minions are allowed to kill, but the victims are not allowed to speak. Jiang, who rampantly tramples the constitution and engages in national terrorism, is now trying to justify the murder of the guardians of justice through invoking the so-called rule of law against the very people who have upheld the constitution and helped the nation.
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Yue Kai, from Yushu City, Jilin Province, was tortured to death in Weizigou and Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camps. A 29-year-old employee of Yushu Transportation Company, he died on February 18, 2002. Ever since he was very young, he had always been known as an honest and kind-hearted person. All his teachers, schoolmates, friends and neighbors praised him as a good person of excellent moral character.
Yue Kai obtained Falun Dafa in 1998. On February 10, 2000, he had gone with his wife, Li Shuying, to Tiananmen Square to validate Falun Dafa. After being arrested and taken back to Yushu City Detention Center, both of them were sentenced to one year in forced labor camps. Yue Kai was sent to Weizigou Forced Labor camp, while Li Shuying was sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor camp in Changchun City.
Yue Kai and other Falun Dafa practitioners at Weizigou Forced Labor Camp were treated inhumanely. In May 2000, the No.1 Team, where Yue Kai was held, along with the No.4 Team, were forced to clean the public swimming beach at Kalun Lake, in Changchun, where they worked from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every day. Several places on the legs of Yu Kai and other fellow practitioners got severely lacerated during the cleaning, yet they were never allowed to take a break, even when their infected wounds were discharging pus. They would be cursed or beaten if they slowed down their work even a little.
They had to do other cleaning jobs such as taking out the garbage, etc., before and after their long work shifts. The job at the lake lasted two weeks, during which, Yue Kai's legs had become full of scars. His hands and arms had turned a dark purple and infected wounds swelled in between the many scabs. Regardless of his serious medical condition, his workload was never reduced. His next work detail was to make a cement floor slab, for which he had to get up as early as 3:00 a.m., and work as late as 9:00 p.m. He endured the extreme torture of this forced labor.
In July 2000, the Changchun "610 Office" put male Falun Dafa practitioners from three forced labor camps together at Fenjin Forced Labor Camp for brainwashing. (A 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.) The practitioners were forced to go through brainwashing programs, and were tortured both with the "sitting board" (where practitioners are forced to sit on a wooden board for a long period of time without moving) and with sleep deprivation. After those attempts to break their wills failed, they were separated and sent to two forced labor camps. Yue Kai was taken to the No.2 Team in Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp.
Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp is a place worse than hell. Because Yue Kai had refused to cooperate with the evil authorities, one criminal prisoner on the No.2 Team, Zhao Yong, was directed to severely kick him in the center of his chest. Yue Kai instantly felt severe pressure and could not breathe properly afterwards. Ever since that incident, he began noticeably losing weight, day after day. By May 2001, Yue Kai had been illegally held in the camp for fifteen months, but the labor camp would still not release him. There, he was brutally tortured to within an inch of his life. The camp authorities then sent him to the Police Hospital and asked that his family take care of the expenses. Because both he and his wife were in forced labor camps, however, his family had no income, so they could not pay the expenses. Later, fearing that he would die, the camp authorities asked his relatives to take him home and get medical attention.
After going back home, he could hardly stand up, as his weakened body had been reduced to skin and bone. To make matters worse, his wife's term of illegal labor re-education was extended for one more year. Suffering from both physical and mental persecution, he died on February 28, 2002, at the age of only 29. When his fellow practitioners heard this news, they were all deeply saddened.
One after another, the Jiang regime has tortured to death good citizens of high moral character who refuse to punch back when being punched, and who will not even return insults when being cursed. They have committed one bloody crime after another. We hope that all kindhearted people will express their concern. Let us all work to stop Jiang and his regime's inhuman persecution. We also kindly warn those lawless gangsters of this heavenly principle: good deeds are rewarded with good fortune, and evil deeds are met with retribution. If you do not mend your ways before it is too late, you are sure to suffer eternally.

A group of 30 Falun Gong followers have marched peacefully through busy streets to the central government liaison office to petition for the release of two Hong Kong [Falun Gong] members. They held cardboard signs showing a picture of Lui Pak-fung, who is reported to be under house arrest with her mother in Guangxi Province. The two are reported to be awaiting trial on charges that have not been specified.
The protesters also called for the release of Hong Kong businessman and Falun Gong member Chu O-ming. Chu was arrested in Beijing and sentenced to five years' jail in Tianjin in 2000 after filing a lawsuit against President Jiang Zemin for his crackdown on [Falun Gong].

Practitioners unfurled a banner they made overnight that read, "Do not shoot at Falun Gong practitioners" and distributed an open letter to the Prime Minister and Minister of the Department of Foreign Affairs to people passing by. Several hundred copies of the open letter were distributed very quickly. Practitioners then told people what was happening in China and the truth about Falun Gong.
A gentleman in his fifties said to a practitioner holding the banner, "I firmly stand by you." After he read the new words on the banner and the open letter, he was stunned for a moment and then walked back the practitioner and added, "I firmly stand by you! Shoot Falun Gong practitioners? They must be insane!"
A disabled woman said to a practitioner, "I have tried Falun Gong at one of your exercise sites. It is a wonderful exercise. How could the Chinese government ban such a wonderful exercise? I sincerely wish you good luck."
A group of high school students were playing nearby. Upon seeing our banner they stopped and one said, "Do you have a signature sheet, I would like to sign the appeal letter." A young boy said, "Governments should not kill good people. The Chinese government is terrible."
Amid very windy and cold weather, Stockholm practitioners held a peaceful appeal on March 8 from 10:30 a.m. until noon outside the Chinese Embassy to condemn Jiang's new "Kill them without Mercy" order. Dafa practitioners sent forth-righteous thoughts and practiced the exercises.
German practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy to hold a peaceful demonstration to protest Jiang's new order of "kill them without mercy." Practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, practiced the exercises and handed out Dafa literature.
Because practitioners come to the embassy to appeal daily, the police know us very well. Today after we had set up banners to tell people about Jiang's new order to shoot practitioners, police came to know the new developments in China. They were very pleased at the practitioners' heroic undertaking and shook their heads at Jiang's despicable act. They told us that they would be available anytime if practitioners had any problems during our demonstration.
At 11a.m., practitioners tried to deliver a letter to the Chinese ambassador. The staff member was very nervous upon facing the practitioners and refused to accept the letter. Practitioners dropped the letter in the embassy's mailbox.
When we distributed truth-clarifying VCDs to Chinese people passing by, we found many people have learned the truth. A lady said she had heard about the VCD. When practitioners asked her to pass on the VCD to others after she finished, she nodded in agreement. A gentleman said he watched one part of the content before and was looking for other part. Some people had already received the VCD and asked for additional information.
Chinese people attending the March 8 Women's Day activity at the embassy all got truth VCD. The demonstration concluded at 5 p.m. The appeal activity will continue. More practitioners will arrive from throughout Germany.
Upon hearing the news of Jiang's new order to "Kill Them Without Mercy," Washington DC Dafa practitioners made banners calling for an end to Jiang's Shoot to kill orders. Falun Gong practitioners prepared truth clarifying materials overnight and gathered in front of the Chinese embassy to peacefully demonstrate. They hoped kindhearted American people would learn the truth and extend their helping hands to stop the Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

In heavy rain, Houston practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts in front of the Chinese consulate to support practitioners in China on the evening of March 8, 2002.
In response to Changchun practitioners' heroic feat of broadcasting Falun Gong truth-clarifying programming over a local cable network in prime time, 100 San Francisco practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese consulate in San Francisco on the afternoon of March 7 to expose the Jiang regime's criminal act of usurping the name of the government to persecute kind people. Practitioners call on people to act now to uphold justice, urgently rescue practitioners persecuted in China and stop the bloody killing of practitioners by state terrorist Jiang.
Practitioner Chunquan Lee, who was brutally beaten because she refused to cooperate with her illegal detention, told of her personal experiences with the Jiang regime's brutality and deceptive nature. Western practitioner Adam Leining, who appealed for Falun Gong on Tiananmen Square last November, also called upon the general public, media and organizations to act now to rescue practitioners persecuted in China to prevent the bloody killings from the Jiang regime's retaliation.
Following a March 5, evening broadcast of programs supportive of Falun Gong in northeastern China, a furious Jiang ordered a series of executions targeting all people involved and other practitioners of Falun Gong throughout China. Jiang is said to have ordered, "Kill them without mercy," immediately following the event. Following the president's command, other cities and provinces across China have now reportedly compiled lists of specific Falun Gong practitioners to execute.
The most dreadful thing the Jiang regime fears is that the general public will learn the truth. The mad retaliation itself demonstrates the Jiang regime's extremely guilty conscience and fear of the truth.
We salute those people who have done such a heroic act to bring truth to people. When all the kind people of the world know the truth, the evil will cease to exist.

Our Position on Some Domestic Media Reports about Falun Gong
1. For the past several years, we have been enduring the biased reports on Falun Gong made by the news media while continuing to request fairness. However, some news media have ignored both the support that Falun Gong has received from many governments and people from around the world, as well as the fact that conscientious news media and journalists in our country have reported on Falun Gong objectively. They simply would not report the fact that Falun Gong is welcomed in many countries around the world with the exception of China, and they insist on publishing biased reports, which is a shame.
2. We declare that we will no longer tolerate any kind of fact-twisting reports intended to harm Falun Gong's reputation, nor will we allow biased reports to continue to run rampant. We have the right to protect our legitimate cultivation practice. Therefore, if fact-twisting reports regarding Falun Gong that infringe upon and damage our reputation appear again, we will take all possible legal action according to the laws of our country. The instigators will bear all responsibility for the consequences of their actions.
3. We believe that the domestic news media have directly quoted from the propaganda against Falun Gong generated by the Chinese government when reporting on Falun Gong. This behavior itself is against the ethics of journalism. It is using others' words to damage our reputation. We believe that only by publishing reports by news media from around the world, as well as reports from the perspective and position of Falun Gong itself at the same time, can it be called a fair report. Members of the media should adhere to the ethics of their profession and provide objective reporting.
4. News media are like a tour guide of history, and history does not form a conclusion on something while it's still in the process of occurring. From the persecution of Christians by the ancient Roman empire, to the "burning of books and burying Confucian scholars alive" of the Qin Dynasty and the Cultural Revolution in China, to the suppression of democratic movements during the period of military dictatorship in our country; be it in the East or the West, in the past or in the present, those who were responsible for the persecution went down in history with infamy. We want to ask, how will these reporters and journalists who insist on producing biased reports face history and the public, should Falun Gong be redressed in China within the next few years?
5. Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) is a cultivation practice of both mind and body based on the cultivation of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." After Falun Gong was first made public by its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, on May 13, 1992, in China, it has spread to more than 50 countries around the world and has enabled more than one hundred million practitioners to become healthy and kind-hearted individuals of high morality. Up until now, Falun Gong has received more than 600 awards and letters of recognition from governments and organizations around the world. Also, over 300 cities around the world including New York, Washington DC and Toronto are promoting Falun Gong. Because of Falun Gong's outstanding contribution to improving people's health and morality, its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi was nominated for the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize.
Falun Gong doesn't charge its students any fees. It doesn't have any rules or regulations, nor does it have any political motives or material pursuit. Falun Gong teaches people to be good and helps them to achieve health. Falun Gong has had an abundance of positive effects on people and society in general. This fact is irrefutable and has been realized by many people.
6. Here, we want to express our sincere thanks to the news media and journalists who have justly reported on Falun Gong. We will hold no prejudice against any news media and have no reason to hold a grudge against anyone.
Again, we want to clarify that the spreading of Falun Gong can only have a positive influence on the prosperity of a nation and her people, the health and moral improvement of individuals and on the stability and harmony of families. Therefore, we sincerely request attention and support from the domestic news media.

Thank you for your letter of 18 January 2002 about the persecution of the Falun Gong practitioners in China and for your kind wishes on my election as President of the European Parliament.
We in the Parliament are very concerned about the human rights situation in China. The European Parliament has denounced the actions of the Chinese government on many occasions and, in its resolution of 5 July 2001 on Human Rights in the World in 2000 and EU Human Rights Policy, lays down in paragraph 113 that it
"Reiterates the need for all States to end repression and discrimination against peaceful religious and philosophical minorities; urges, in particular, China to end the repression of the Falun Gong as well as its Islamic, Christian and Buddhist populations."
I can assure you that we will continue to speak out on this matter until the situation is satisfactorily resolved.

Wang Guihai lives in Nanhenggou Village, Qixiasikou Town, Yantai City, Shandong Province. He and his wife, Li Xiuxiang, their eldest daughter, Wang Lixuan (university graduate) and her one-year-old son, the second daughter, Wang Lihui (a student in Yantai University who was dismissed by his school), and the son, Wang Xuchao (a university student who was dismissed by his school), were persecuted because of their firm belief in Falun Dafa and they went to Beijing to validate Dafa several times.
The eldest daughter, Wang Lixuan, and her son were tortured to death in Beijing. Dafa practitioner Peng Geng, male, over 30 years old was a spy in the state's special army. After April 25 1999, he was ordered by the government to disguise himself as a Falun Gong practitioner in order to monitor and report the activities of Falun Gong practitioners. Upon investigation, he discovered that Falun Gong is a good cultivation school that benefits the country and the people. He decided to become a genuine Falun Gong practitioner. After July 20, 1999, he went to appeal and was sent to Masanjia Labor Camp. After the Tiananmen Self-Immolation incident, he realized that it was a ploy set up by the government to defame Falun Gong. [Shandong Province] Wangcun Forced Labor Camp Throws Dafa Practitioners into an Electrified Water Dungeon
In January 2002, 15 to 18 Dafa practitioners were sent to Wangcun Labor Camp at Zibo City. They came from Jinan brainwashing class. [Hunan Province] Xinkaipu Labor Camp Sends Healthy Dafa Practitioners into a Mental Hospital
In November 2001, Dafa practitioner, Kuang Daijie, was detained in Changsha Xinkaipu Labor Camp. He was a firm cultivator and he was unshakable. In order to reform him, the labor camp labeled him as a "psychopath". The supervisor of Team 11, Yuan XX, and vicious policemen sent Kuang to a mental hospital by force. The doctors in that hospital collude with policemen, so they also stated that Falun Gong caused Kuang Daijie to become psychotic.
[Sichuan Province] SEC of Xinjing County Yang Shizhang Orders the Torture of a 60-year-Old Female Practitioner
Dafa practitioner, Li Guangyan, is from Xinjing County, Chendu City. In December, she went to the office of Yang Shizhang, the deputy SEC and Politics and Law Committee president. She appealed for the release of the detained practitioners and she appealed against the unfair practice of her work unit of deducting money from her pension. She reminded him, "Good is met with good rewards and bad is met with bad retributions." Yang was furious and he phoned the police, pretending that Li beleaguered him. When the police came, he said, "Throw her in jail!" Li was detained in the Wujing police station. The condition is very bad in the jail. The room is only four square meters and there is no sunlight. There is only a small opening that is only 0.15 meters wide. The cell is kept locked. There is no proper sanitation (both urine and excrement are passed inside the cell). Li Guangyan was given the leftover food of the policemen. It is believed that she is being tortured.
[Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioners Hold a Hunger Strike for Over One Hundred Days
It is said that a Dafa practitioner, Lu Xiuyun, from Daqing went on a hunger strike for over 50 days in the Daqing detention center and was force fed by police. The cruel torture almost killed her. She was sent to the hospital and now she is back at home.
Another practitioner, Xiao Ailing, has been on a hunger strike for over 110 days. Because of a news blockage, her situation is not known.
[Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Validates Falun Gong in a Court of Law
The police of Dongyue sub-division arrested a female practitioner from Shiyan City, Hubei Province while she was clarifying the truth to people. She was sentenced to three years imprisonment by police, prosecutors and law departments. Two other practitioners were sentenced at the same time. In the courtroom, there were no other witnesses except the police, prosecutor, lawyers and Dafa practitioners who were interrogated. During the trial, this practitioner continued to clarify the truth and safeguard Dafa with righteous thoughts. She shouted loudly, "Falun Dafa is treated unjustly!" "Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" She sat in the lotus position and held her right hand in front of her chest to send out righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil; she did not listen to any of the orders of the people in the court.
[Northeastern China] People in a Forced Labor Camp in Northeastern China Are Awakening
Through the joint efforts of Falun Dafa practitioners, many people in a forced labor camp in Northeastern China have changed their attitude toward Dafa. Some team leaders now do not allow any criminal to beat or curse the practitioners. A policeman shed tears when looking at the thin body of a practitioner who has been on a hunger strike for several days. Some cell leaders have asked Dafa practitioners to teach them the fifth set of exercises.
[Zizhong County, Sichuan Province] The Criminal Activities of Zhang Xiaofang and Other Vicious Police Who Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Nanmusi Female Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County
In the Nanmusi Female Forced Labor Camp in Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, the head of Team 7, Zhang Xiaofang (female), has resorted to all kinds of vicious means to torture Dafa practitioners. She always curses the practitioners with the foulest, dirtiest language, and uses implements to torture practitioners. She once shocked Ma Qingchun with an electric baton. While shocking her, she roared, "Those who are going to sue us through Minghui.Net -- see how I beat Falun Gong practitioners! Go ahead and sue me. See if you can!" Because the team leader behaves in this manner, the other police officers are also excessively brutal. Zhang Shiqing, a Dafa practitioner over 50 years old, did not want to watch a TV program defaming Dafa. As a result, a police officer with the last name of Zhang brutally beat her, slapped her face, grabbed her hair and rammed her head against the wall. He kicked her violently, and she fell on the ground. Even as she struggled to stand up, Zhang ran up to her, and in a frenzy, kicked her and cursed her repeatedly. On one occasion, because Ma Qingchun refused to listen to an article slandering Dafa, five or six policemen, including a police officer whose last name is Huang, pushed and scratched her and even seized her by the throat to prevent her from talking. They held her on the ground, handcuffed her from behind on a trunk, and stuffed her mouth with a cloth. Dafa practitioners were frequently beaten almost to death, and then were dragged across the ground by two vicious policemen who grabbed their hands and ran around very fast. The practitioners' skin was torn and their flesh gaped open from abrasions against the ground. Ma Qingchun was once dragged from the third floor down to the first floor. Yang Taiying was also dragged in such way and was beaten many times by Policeman Zhang. The police also continuously encourage the detained criminals to cruelly torture Dafa practitioners. They tried to brainwash those practitioners who refused to go against Dafa. They forced Dafa practitioners to stand from morning to midnight every day, and as a result practitioners could not put their shoes on because their feet were so swollen. Practitioners were not allowed to go to bathroom when they needed to, and neither were they allowed to take a shower. The police frequently beat and cursed the practitioners for no reason. A policeman whose name is Zhou Junhui even claimed, "As long as you are not transformed [meaning, as long as you remain steadfast in your belief in Dafa], you must sit for one day and stand for another three days. Don't expect to walk out of this labor camp alive."
[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] What I Have Seen and Heard in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp of Harbin City
In April of 2001, I was sent to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City. The following is what I saw and heard there:
In this prison, a leader of the criminal inmates always found excuses to beat Dafa practitioners.
At the labor camp, all Dafa practitioners were forced to work together with the criminals every morning. The designated heads of the criminal inmates patrolled the workers, back and forth, with a whip. If they saw Dafa practitioners working too slowly, they would beat them immediately. The sanitary conditions were very poor. The practitioners were not allowed to wash, except for taking a "shower" [ten basins of cold water were poured on them] once every week. The rest of the time, they hardly had any access to water. Practitioners' lives were tedious. They were forced to sit on a chair with both hands behind them except when eating, sleeping or going to bathroom. The meals were also very bad. They had corn gruel and salted vegetables for breakfast and dinner, steamed corn buns and soup with a little vegetable for lunch. They could have only a little for each meal, and the three meals together added up to only one meal per person. They were not allowed to drink water. The police in the labor camp said, "If we give you enough food to eat, you will start to get ideas." Even worse, the criminal cell leaders forcibly took away the food that the practitioners' family members sent them. The guards also participated in such behavior.
[Qingdao City, Shandong Province] An "Accomplice" in Qingdao City's Brainwashing Class Is Awakening
During the Spring Festival, the vicious brainwashing class in the Qingdao School for the Blind force-fed the steadfast practitioners who were on a hunger strike, and didn't allow them to go back home to celebrate the festival. In addition, if practitioners refused to give up practicing Falun Dafa, the vicious officials would punish the everyday people who were assigned to work as accomplices in the brainwashing class. They used this method to force the steadfast practitioners to sign the "three statements" [Falun Gong practitioners are forced to write three statements: repentance statement, guarantee statement and criticizing statement under great pressure and physical torture, to give up their beliefs and slander Falun Gong].
After coming out of the brainwashing class, one person who had worked as an accomplice found a Dafa practitioner and asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun to read. She said that she would never again work in the brainwashing class because it was so brutal and vicious. She also said that she would read Zhuan Falun so she could learn about Falun Gong.
[Qixia City, Shandong Province] A Falun Dafa Practitioner from Qixia City of Yantai, Shandong Province Is Forced to Live in Exile in Order to Avoid Further Persecution
Zeng Yongfan, female, 51 years old, is an employee of Qixia City's Power Industry Bureau in Yantai, Shandong Province. In the past she suffered from serious diabetes, and paid approximately 10,000 Yuan in medical expenses every year [the average urban worker's monthly salary is approximately 500 Yuan]. After practicing Falun Dafa, she recovered completely, and therefore saved a lot of medical expenses for her work unit. In 1999, Zeng Yonfan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa. On her way to Beijing, the police confiscated all her money and belongings. Before New Year's Day of 2000, she went to Beijing again to appeal, and her whereabouts have been unknown since then. In Qixia, many Falun Dafa practitioners have been forced to leave home and must move from place to place to avoid arrest .

[Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Strongly Protest the Illegal Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioners by 854 Farm's Police Department
On the night of Feburary 12, 2002, a few officials from 854 Farm's Police Department in Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province, plotted to illegally arrest several Dafa practitioners as well as a driver in the Tuanshan area. Several days have passed since these arrests, yet they haven't informed the practitioners' families. Many people have asked everywhere about their family members' whereabouts. We call on all kindhearted people to pay attention to this case. Meanwhile, we'll continue to lodge appeals to the related departments.
[Mishan, Heilongjiang Province] 64-Year-Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Wang Shixiang was Persecuted by the Political Security Section of Mishan Police Department
When 64-year-old Wang Shixiang went to Beijing to appeal the unjust treatment of Falun Gong, he was arrested by the Beijing Police Department. On January 28, 2000, Wang was escorted home by Meng Qingqi and Du Yongshan of the political security section of Mishan Police Department. Wang and Wang's work unit were required to pay their airfare and any incidentals for the trip to Beijing. Wang's children paid 4000 Yuan (the average monthly income of an urban worker is only 500 Yuan) and Wang's work unit paid 3800 Yuan. Then Wang was sent to Jixi Custodial Center and a brainwashing class. Nine months later, Meng Qingqi, Du Yongshan and others extorted about 1500 Yuan in cash and other valuable items. These people placed this extorted money and property into their own pockets. They did not release Wang Shixiang until his family paid another 3000 Yuan for a guarantee deposit. The deposit was promising that he would not go to Beijing again. Four months later, in March 2001, Meng used the excuse that Wang was still practicing Falun Gong and arrested him again. He was held in Mishan Detention Center and thrown into the forced labor camp on April 28.
In Jixi Forced Labor Camp, Wang has received inhumane treatment. He has often been beaten and harrassed. Frequently he has been made to soil himself. Vicious policemen Lin Yongjun and Zhang Guohua beat and cursed him the most. When Wang was on a hunger strike, he was force-fed by a prison doctor, who inserted tubes into his nose that resulted in severe bleeding. This man is now gaunt and in poor physical condition due to loss of weight. Because he refuses to cooperate with the evil, the vicious policeman Huang Yelin also beats and curses him all the time.
[Shiyan, Hubei Province] The Extended Torture of Female Practitioners in Maojian District Brainwashing Class
Zhu Xirong is 47-years-old. She returned home from Maojian District Brainwashing Class on August 24, 2001 as the result of the efforts of many people. On September 29, 2001, Zhu was again forcibly sent to a brainwashing class by Liu Hua from the Wudang Road Police Station and Director Zhang Youyu of the Wudang Road Neighborhood Administration Office. At 9:00 AM on October 23rd, while sending forth righteous thoughts, Zhu was spotted by Mei Fang, who approached her and slapped her on both cheeks. Then Zhu Xirong was dragged outside by others who had come into the room. Liao Dafu handcuffed her in the posture of "carrying the sword" (that is, with both arms twisted behind the back, one from above the shoulder and the other from below). Zhu Jie, a female administrator form the court, took Zhu Xirong to the exercise yard to stand for her punishment. Others were called over to brainwash her. At that moment Zhu Xirong had only one thought in her mind: Never give in, even if both arms are broken. After Zhu Xirong had twice passed out, and under the strong demand of fellow practitioners, Zhu Xirong was returned to her room by 11:00 AM. Her wrists had swollen to twice their normal size. On October 24, Zhu and three others in her room were deprived of food until after noon. In the afternoon an administrator, Zi Xiaojun, took Fu Tiejun (an employee of the Bureau of Finance) out of the room for a hand-recorded interrogation. As soon as Fu stepped out of the room, she was dragged by her hair to another building. When Fu Tiejun was returned to the room at 1:00 AM, her roommates couldn't even recognize her. She had bruises all over her body. Practitioners in her room went on a hunger strike immediately. On November 14, Zhu Xirong was sent to Maojian Hospital and forcibly given an injection. She was sent home after her work unit assumed responsibility for her.
[Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Female Practitioner Liu Guijin was Brutally Tortured in the Political Security Section of Yutian County Police Department
Dafa practitioner Liu Guijin was abducted by the police on August 20, 2001. On August 24, she was sent to Yutian County Detention Center by Tangshan Road Northern Police Department. On September 3, the guards took Liu to the administration room. There were five or six people in the room. One of them who seemed to be an official asked Liu if she was going to continue practicing Falun Gong. Liu answered, "Yes." He immediately hit Liu's face. The next morning, Liu was taken to the political security section of Yutian County Police Department. Her two hands were handcuffed to a steel chair. Sadistic police officers then used electric batons to continuously apply electric shocks from her waist to the top of her head. Liu was tortured for over two hours, until both of her legs lost feeling, her heart problem was triggered, and she passed out. When she was sent back to the detention center, both her face and neck were swollen, and clotted blood filled her mouth. In the afternoon, personnel from the political security section intended to continue to torture her. It didn't take place as the detention center worried she might die. The next morning, Liu felt cold all over her body, and her blood pressure was only 40. She was sent to the county hospital's emergency room for treatment. Two days later, personnel from the political security section decreed, "Let her die in Tangshan City." So on September 10, Liu Guijin was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Tangshan City. She wasn't able to get out of bed for three days. Then she was chained to a steel chair for seven days. Not long after that, she was sent to the labor camp. Three days after she got to the labor camp, she wrote a "statement of guarantee" (giving up practicing Falun Gong). Later she realized that writing this "statement of guarantee" was wrong and declared it void. She was punished by being forced to stand for over twelve days.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners Escalated in Nong'an County
Just before New Year's Day, the "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) of Nong'an County carried out orders from Jiang and Luo to start a new round of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. The "610 Office" stationed hired thugs and the unemployed in various places to catch Dafa practitioners, tear away Dafa posters, and paint over Dafa slogans. Over 20 Dafa practitioners were arrested and are currently being held in Nong'an County Dongdaqiao Detention Center. Their family members are denied visits, and any information about these practitioners has been tightly blocked. Meanwhile these practitioners have received inhuman treatment. Teacher Wang in Wanshun Township gave a lesson of "Falun Dafa Is Good" to his students before the holiday and was thus deprived of his job. Dafa practitioners Old Tong and Sun Xiuying were arrested for hanging up Dafa banners. Police claim that they are facing 3-year forced labor terms.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Cao Yali in Nong'an County Kidnapped by Police
On the night of January 24, 2001, a dozen or so police officers from Changchun City Police Department forcibly entered Falun Dafa practitioner Cao Yali's home and arrested her. The whereabouts of Cao Yali are not known at present.

[Beijing] Vicious Policeman Threatens Family and Relatives of Falun Dafa Practitioner Being Persecuted
After a Falun Dafa practitioner was forced to leave his home due to police harassment, vicious policemen often visited his family in search of his whereabouts. Members of the local neighborhood watch team have been stationed around his home for close surveillance. All his relatives' homes were searched one by one as well. Since the police haven't been able to catch the practitioner, a vicious policeman time and again came to threaten the family members of this practitioner, "If he still doesn't come back home, we will rescind his residential certificate. If he doesn't come back by the time of relocating, your family will receive no compensation at all." This policeman also went to the home of one of the practitioner's relatives and threatened, "If you don't help to find him, there is no chance your son's fiancéI can have her residential certificate issued from the police station when she gets married." (According to the residential certificate system, an urban residential certificate is the legal paper that guarantees one's right to live in the city, and the residential right in Beijing is all the more difficult to acquire.)
The policeman also said, "If a single practitioner from our jurisdiction shows up on Tiananmen Square, the chief of our police station will be stripped of his rank completely." In order to hold onto his position, the chief has urged his police officers to round up any practitioners who had been forced out of their homes.

Around noon on February 9, 2002, He Zongxian from the Nongfeng County Police Substation, Shuangchen City, Heilongjiang Province, field policeman Li Changjin, Fu Zhengbo, and Zhang Shiyang illegally broke into Dafa practitioner Liu Yanqing's home. They arrested three Dafa practitioners Pan Zhifeng, Zhao Xia, and Liu Yanqing's wife, Geng Yafeng, who were writing Spring Festival couplets. They handcuffed the practitioners and brought them to the Nongfeng County Police Substation for illegal interrogation. The director broke into the Liu's home without any documents or legal procedure, and ransacked it. They confiscated many of the Spring Festival couplets and some Dafa books. In order to cover up the truth, the police substation told people that Falun Gong wrote 1500 "counter-revolutionary slogans" [a term used in the era of the Great Cultural Revolution for persecuting intellectuals but later phased out after Chairman Mao died. Nowadays Jiang's regime has picked it up again to persecute Falun Gong practitioners]. The police substation forcibly sent the practitioners to the Shuanchen No. 2 Labor Camp.

As practitioners in China face tremendous pressure to give up their beliefs under the Chinese regime's brutal persecution, there are those who have given in and signed documents renouncing Falun Dafa. However, many of these people deeply regret doing so after they are released from detention and labor camps. "Solemn declarations" are the public statements made by such practitioners, often at great risk to their personal safety, to declare to the world that the documents they signed under duress are null and void and that they will continue to practice Falun Dafa.

(Clearwisdom.net) For several months, I have been diligently following Master and the Fa rectification progress, studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts, and clarifying the truth. I clarify the truth to ordinary people on a daily basis, meticulously and with dignity and patience. I have distributed over a dozen truth-clarifying CDs from one family to the next. Sometimes I invite people to watch them at my home as well. So far, over 400 people have watched these CDs. Dozens of Dafa materials have been distributed to the people with predestined relationships.
Equipped with Dafa's wisdom, I have tried to clarify the truth to such people as the deputy chiefs and the political chief of the city police department, the director of the local "610 Office" (An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems), the Town Party Secretary, the director of the Politics and Law Committee, government personnel, police officers, the Party Secretary of a village, village security personnel, and ordinary people. Some have changed from being against Falun Dafa to recognizing, supporting and studying the Fa, or helping to divulge information to the practitioners. One deputy chief of the city police department said to me, "Falun Gong is indeed so profound. You have talked for over two hours today. If you talk a little more, I might start to learn it tomorrow." An official said, "It is so good, I may study it in the future." Later he read several of Master's books. He obviously changed his attitude toward Dafa and the practitioners and considered the adage, "When there is a policy from top, there is a way to deal with it at the bottom."
The Spring Festival Holiday came. The branch party secretary came to ask me to write the "guarantee statement." [A statement to deny Dafa, to promise never to go to Beijing to appeal and never again practice Dafa in the future] I talked to him for about two hours. I asked him, "If, when a thief steals your wallet, and you ask him to return it, he gets someone to beat and injure you, some people would say, "If you did not demand your wallet back, you would not have been beaten up. Whose fault is it, yours or the thief's?" His attitude changed. In the evening, I brought the truth-clarifying CD and Dafa materials to his home and sat with him and his whole family to watch the CD. He saw me off and told me, "Let time and the facts prove that Falun Gong is the truth. You might be right."
Although I have encountered some dangers in the past several months, with Dafa and Master in the mind, on each occasion I turned danger into safety. Every time I saw people start to understand the truth I smiled from the bottom of my heart. Under the mighty power of Master and Dafa, more people got the opportunities to be saved.
As we get rid of the attachment of fear and give up our human mentalities, compassion will grow and our words will be more powerful to move people's hearts.
Above is my personal understanding. Please point out anything that is incorrect.
We, an elder sister and a younger brother, were persecuted by the evil because we appealed for Falun Gong in Beijing. Under coercion from our school principle and the police station, we wrote the "guarantee letter" that we would not appeal for Falun Gong. At school, my classmate saw the bookmark with Dafa truth-clarifying information printed on it. Since my classmate didn't know the truth of Falun Gong, he reported to our teacher that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. Our teacher reported this to our school. The school principal reported this to the County Municipal Bureau of Education. The school principal asked my younger sister, and me "Will you still practice Falun Gong?" Both of us answered, "We will practice Falun Gong and learn Falun Gong." Then the principal expelled us from school, and would not allow us to return. He also reported to "610 Office" (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) to investigate our five family members.
On December 27, 2001, the local policemen arrested my grandmother, my father, my mother, my younger sister and me at my eldest aunt's house. On the following day, they transferred us to our hometown police station. At the police station, the policeman forced and intimidated us, saying that they would not allow us to go home if we would still practice Falun Gong. Being frightened, my sister and I gave up unwillingly and signed our names on the questionnaire record, which caused damage to Dafa. I am deeply sorry for letting down Teacher's arduous salvation. I feel regret whenever I think of it. The evil persecution hurt our young hearts and caused us great pain. We hereby solemnly declare that everything we said and did that is not in accordance with the Fa is void. We will make our best efforts to make up for the loss we caused to Dafa. We will safeguard and validate the Fa. We will cultivate diligently and solidly on the road of Fa-rectification. We will not let down Teacher's arduous salvation. We will behave like qualified young Falun Dafa practitioners.

(clearwisdom.net) I was detained twice and have been sent to a labor camp for one year because I practice Falun Gong. I'd like to briefly talk about what I have experienced and seen inside the tall walls.
I was arrested along with a number of practitioners by the public security bureau in the name of "illegal gathering" when we were doing exercises together at a practitioner's home and studying Teacher's books. We were detained for inspection to determine "the organizer". They would force us to stand with legs apart and knees bent for a long time. We were made to press our heads against the wall, and they beat us up. In the cold winter weather, they would not allow us to wear thick clothes and would cuff our hands to electric poles, iron poles or trees. They forced us to squat on our heels or they would hang us up high, with our feet dangling. They wouldn't allow us to sleep for consecutive days and nights and wouldn't unlock the handcuffs until they were satisfied. In short, they would use all means to extort a confession by torturing us. In the end, they would force you to sign a "promise statement" and pay a fine before they would release you.
In the detention center, we were not allowed to have our families send us items for personal use. Instead, they would sell us the items at a price several times higher than the market price. We were detained for more than two months before being sent to labor camps. During this period, they would not only collect the living expenses in the detention center, but would also force us to pay for the trips to the labor camp. They would force some practitioners to buy cotton-padded jackets, trousers and other articles of poor quality for high prices. They intended to use up all of our money. Some practitioners' properties were confiscated. Some practitioners didn't have money to buy sanitary napkins during their menstrual period. Their blood would drip into their pants. Some prisons wouldn't give practitioners drinking water. Instead, they would force them to drink the water in the urinal. For some practitioners, the police wouldn't inform their families of their whereabouts. Their families didn't know where to send clothing and toiletry items to them. Some practitioners were beaten up, lashed by a leather belt, wore handcuffs and fetters, and were tortured between life and death on a bed of torture.
During the early days in the labor camp, they would force us to do hard labor. They would force us to get up at 6 a.m. in the morning to eat. Then they would force us to work in the workroom until after 12 midnight before they would allow us to go back to our cells to sleep. Cellmates who were detained due to drug addiction, prostitution, stealing and defrauding would foul our cells. They would drink alcohol, smoke (they burned headache powder as a drug), fight, and burn cotton and plastic buckets to cook snacks. The fumes made it hard to breathe because the doors and windows were tightly closed. At night, the mice would run around in groups and turn everything inside out, and would even climb up on the bed. It was hard to sleep in such a room with more than 20 people and the constant noise of defecation and urination, and sometimes the sound of weeping.
To validate Dafa, we wanted to do the exercises. The police in the labor camp would attack us without restraint. My back was kicked and injured, and I had hematuria for more than two weeks. They would also viciously kick us in the pit of the stomach, hit our heads against the wall, trample our legs, grab our hair and drag us for dozens of meters. They would heavily strike our backs or heads against the edge of the cement, making the scalp break and bleed. Later, they would say that we carelessly stumbled and did it to ourselves. Some practitioners were dragged into the excrement tank. Others were dragged into a stinking ditch, and they poured filthy water on them. Some were tied to trees, and a few were even tied up and dragged hundreds of meters before being thrown into the workroom. Women were forced to stand against the wall from morning to night with their heads pressing against the wall. In one of the squads, several practitioners were forced into water prisons. In addition, they were not allowed to go to the bathroom for over ten hours every day. Some practitioners were detained in "small cells" long-term, with no food and no shower. During brainwashing, the police would force us to watch false news, read newspapers, listen to radios and watch videos that defame Dafa, and study a number of "transforming materials for internal use" every day. After a few short days they would force us to wear signs that said "(slanderous term omitted) crime." We refused to wear it, because we didn't commit any crime. The police would then torture us by using all means including beating us with an electric baton, wooden club, spiked baton, leather belt, bamboo sticks, thin ropes, and stab our acupuncture points with a fountain pen. Some Falun Gong practitioners destroyed the signs. The police would not only fine them, but also beat them into a mass of bruises. Their whole bottoms were beaten to a purple-black color with blood penetrating to the skin. Their arms and legs were covered with bruises as well. Even the doctors in the labor camp would shake their heads and sigh when they saw the bruises on practitioners. The police would even press the electric baton against our bodies without removing it for a long time, the batons would generate a "pa-pa" sound and the sparks would leap out. Two elderly practitioners in their 50's were sent to a mental hospital. A conscionable doctor wept after examining them, and later he told the police, "they're perfectly normal, we don't accept those who don't have mental disorders." So they were taken back to the labor camp.
In order to force us to give up our faith in "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance", the police would force us to stand or sit in an army posture under the burning sun for several hours and not allow us to go to the bathroom. Some Falun Gong practitioners had diarrhea and were also not allowed to go to the bathrooms, so they sweated profusely. They couldn't stand upright while suffering the pain, but the police would yell at them not to move. Some couldn't stand it and had to relieve themselves in their pants. Some just fainted. After a few hours of sitting in army posture, one would slouch a little. They would suddenly hit you or kick you heavily from the back, making one extremely nervous. They would also force us to squat on one leg barefoot on the ground covered with stones and not allow us to switch legs. They would force us to squat for a long time without moving. They might also force us to run on the stone-covered ground barefoot. When we couldn't move any further, they would demand the drug abusers in the "Civil Management Association" to drag us to run. Many Falun Gong practitioners were forced to do three hundred, five hundred or even over a thousand squatting movements. We had to do it with both hands holding the head. Our clothes and pants were wet with sweat, our legs would be too shaky to walk or climb stairs, and we couldn't squat anymore. Even after being tortured to exhaustion and having no uninjured spots on our bodies, our hearts were not moved. We didn't fight back when we were beaten up or sworn at, we had no complaints or resentment, no matter how bad they treated us, we were not bothered, instead we would always encourage them to do good deeds. We would treat everything in our surroundings with compassion.
The police knew that the more they beat us, the firmer we became, so they would have closed-door meetings every day to talk over how to deal with us. The police ganged up with the drug abusers and changed their ways of persecuting us. They knew that we were not afraid of being beaten up or sworn at, but we couldn't stand it if they swore at Dafa or Teacher. So they would insult and swear at our Teacher to sting our hearts as soon as we did not obey. They would force every one of the Falun Gong practitioners to drink the so-called "heat reliever" made by them. We didn't know what they had put into it. They told us that it was for preventing "heat stroke" in the hot summer. Other detainees in the labor camp didn't have to drink it. An aged Dafa practitioner could hardly move after long-distance running and many squatting movements. She was still forced to move downstairs to the assembly room. Because her legs couldn't move, she fell down next to the staircase.
The labor camp would force us to listen to the reports by "Masanjia Helping and Teaching Group", fooling us by saying that they were practitioners from Masanjia. The "Helping and Teaching Group" would distort the contents of Teacher's teachings. Their goal was to mess up our minds. Some were deceived and started to talk nonsense like them. They not only were deceived themselves but also became accomplices. The labor camp fooled practitioners into thinking that as long as we wrote an "understanding," we would be released in a month. When some practitioners wrote such "understandings," they would say it wasn't clear, and that we needed to "understand again" and "expose and criticize." They would press forward steadily, to induce those practitioners who have strong attachments to "break with" Dafa.
In prisons and labor camps, the police would brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They would utilize any torturing method. However, for those real criminals, they would indulge their evil habits from time to time. The criminals wouldn't correct their wrongdoings. They still committed bad deeds by gambling, lying, swearing at others, fighting, abusing drugs and stealing. The police wouldn't stop them. Instead they would induce them to beat up Falun Gong practitioners.
In order to be released early, these ignorant criminals would cooperate with police to devise means to brutally torture Dafa practitioners unscrupulously. They even requited kindness with enmity. Their families were expecting them to become new women in the labor camp. However, changing them was impossible from the start! A squad chief said, "as long as you finish the task I gave you, whether you become a good woman or not is not my business!" One who got here due to an incorrect verdict would learn a lot of methods to commit crimes even though she did not know how to before. One can only become worse and worse in there.
"Zhen-Shan-Ren is the Sole Criterion to Discern Good and Bad People." One who persecutes kind people is a truly bad person. Good or evil has its reward or tribulation in the end!

I am a seven-year-old Dafa disciple. I felt really good after learning Falun Dafa with my mom and I liked it very much. The parts that I enjoy most are the children's class and Hong Fa (introducing Dafa to the public) activities. I always attend the children's class on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings in order to participate in Fa study and practice. Often, my mom would ask me to send forth righteous thoughts at home. In the beginning I did not enjoy doing it because I must fight against many strange-looking demon creatures whenever I send forth righteous thoughts. Though Dafa gives me abundant divine power so that I can eradicate the evil beings, there were some powerful beings that kept coming back even after I had purged them. It was really annoying. Sometimes I felt lazy and did not want to send forth righteous thoughts, but mom kept reminding me of the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts. She told me I must send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate all evil with diligence, never allowing the evil to exploit our weakness. Now I send forth righteous thoughts with mom every evening at 9 o'clock.
There was a second grade girl in my American English class who was very mean to me. She scolded me often. There was another older boy who also bullied and humiliated me. But I never lost my temper when they did not treat me nicely. Sometimes I would tell my mom when I felt bad. Mom would often tell me to find out what I might have done wrong from within myself. Otherwise I must have owed them from my previous life. It did not matter if they slandered or hit me, I should even thank them. They laughed at me. I endured it all because I kept in my heart Teacher's words "Never take revenge when we are hit, never curse back when we are slandered."
For a while I suffered from otitis media (middle ear infection). I was never afraid of the pain since I knew Teacher was helping me to purify my body layer after layer. Now I no longer have the symptoms anymore. I am very grateful to Teacher. I told Mom I love Teacher the most in this world because he is so kind.
I visit the Falun World each day to study the Fa and to practice. Teacher mentioned that we have fallen down and down and down from a very high realm. I must diligently cultivate my Xinxing; study the Fa, and really achieve Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in order to return to my original home.
In the kindergarten I would always tell my little friends that Falun Gong is good, Jiang Zemin is very bad and he will end up in hell because of his persecution of Falun Dafa. They all agreed. They knew practicing Falun Gong would make them healthy and Falun Gong also taught us how to be good persons. My little friends told me that I had improved and was nicer than before. The teacher in my class also commented that I seemed to be more mature than other children of the same age. I know that Teacher is watching over me so of course I must never do anything improper. We must be really good kids; only then can we be considered as good and true little disciples of Falun Dafa.

Somewhere in China there is an elderly couple that practices Falun Gong. The woman went to Beijing in 1999 to appeal and validate Dafa. Afterwards she was arrested and sent to her local police station, where corrupt officials demanded over 1,000 Yuan (translator's note: an average urban worker's monthly salary is about 500 Yuan) before they would release her. Because this couple is very poor, the old man had no recourse but to borrow the money. He first went to his younger daughter's mother-in-law's home. However, not only did they not lend him the money but they also derided him and slandered Dafa. So the old man went to his elder daughter's mother-in-law's home. This relative's family not only comforted him but also loaned him the money.
The younger daughter's in-laws are in the bean curd business. Late one evening at the beginning of August 2001, the bean curd-making room, for no apparent reason, suddenly caught fire. It was such a shock that this couple even forgot to call their neighbors to help them to extinguish the fire. As a result, the man suffered serious burns on his leg, had to be hospitalized, and ended up spending over 10,000 Yuan in medical fees.
On the other hand, the kind in-laws of the elder daughter are flourishing; both in beauty and in possessions, all are safe and sound.
This is a true story of what happened to me. Here I sincerely want to advise people to make a clear distinction between right and wrong and to treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly. Good is rewarded with good and evil is met with evil. Nothing escapes the balance.
On March 7, 2002, hearing that four Australian Dafa practitioners went to Tiananmen Square to appeal and were arrested, and seeing the call for 'urgent rescue' on Minghui net, Melbourne Dafa Practitioners took action immediately by contacting media, sitting in front of the Chinese Consulate in Melbourne from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the evening, sending forth righteous thoughts at the top of each hour, and holding a press conference the next morning.
Melbourne Media Extend Broad Coverage to the Tiananmen Appeal of Australian Practitioners
Perhaps because the Australian practitioners were almost all from Melbourne, all local TV stations dispatched report teams, which was a first for Melbourne. Nearly 20 practitioners did the sitting meditation and sent forth righteous thoughts on the lawn across from the consulate. Reporters from Radio stations and TV stations interviewed six practitioners. Some stations made live reports. TV channels 10 and 9 covered the event on the noon news as the first and second news item, respectively. They also reported the interview with Melbourne's Falun Dafa spokesperson. The SBC national radio broadcasting station covered the event on their noon news too. The Sky News Australia radio station broadcast the event every half hour and included it as a news headline every 15 minutes.
On the evening news, every TV station covered the event. TV channels 10 and 9 reported extensively about each practitioner arrested, including a former silver medallist in Olympic Swimming and the interview with the spokesperson. These reports helped the Australian people to learn about the Jiang regime's inhuman persecution of Falun Gong and the worldwide spread of Dafa.

Chinese police have detained two Australians who tried to protest against the government's treatment of practitioners of the banned spiritual Falun Gong movement.
The couple shouted [statements] and tried to unfurl a banner in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, but were quickly removed by police.
A statement written by the couple and released by the Falun Gong's headquarters in New York said the human rights violations of millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China was not acceptable.
The protest - the latest in a series by western followers of the group - comes during the annual session of China's parliament.

POLICE swarming over Beijing's Tiananmen Square detained an Australian couple just seconds into their protest against China's crackdown on the Falun Gong spiritual movement.
It was the second such demonstration by Australians in four days.
The couple, identified by a Falun Gong spokesman as Emma Doddrell Hall and her husband Jarrod Hall, hugged and kissed each other on the cheek before the protest that saw them detained almost instantly and marched aboard police vehicles. [...] The man yelled "[Falun] Dafa hao!" in Chinese - meaning "Falun Gong is good" - as police pushed him into a van that drove him away.
The woman also shouted "Falun Gong" and raised a yellow scarf before uniformed police snatched it away and marched her to a car.
The Halls, both aged 23 and from Melbourne, arrived in China earlier in the day, said Chris Cominos, an Australian spokesman [...] arrested during a similar protest last November and then deported.
Both Falun Gong practitioners, the couple wanted to "appeal to the Chinese government to stop torturing and killing people who practice," Cominos said in a telephone interview.

TWO Australian men who were expelled from China for protesting a crackdown on the Falun Gong spiritual movement say they were beaten by Chinese authorities.
Eight others who stopped in Singapore on their way home said they were unharmed. Olympian Jan Becker, who swam for Australia during the 1964 Tokyo Games and was one of the expelled, questioned the wisdom of allowing Beijing to host the 2008 Olympics because of the crackdown on Falun Gong.

Waiting at Singapore's Changi Airport, Michael Molnar, 29, of Melbourne, said he suffered "an avalanche of kicks and punches" from police as he left a bus transporting him to a police station.
David Rubacek, 24, of Sydney, said two police officers interrogated him in his hotel room, rifled through his things and "got really upset" and "started cursing and swearing" when they found Falun Gong books in his suitcase."
Rubacek said a policeman ripped his tie off from his neck, "grabbed me by the suit and began hitting me on the head."
"Then they threw me on the ground and kicked me - four or five blows" he said, adding that the officer who kicked him was "shaking, he was so mad."
Rubacek was not visibly bruised. Molnar had a small red mark on the side of his nose, but no other marks or bruises.
The Australians were detained yesterday after a protest that lasted a few seconds.
It was the fifth protest since November on or near Tiananmen Square in central Beijing by foreign members of Falun Gong, which China banned in 1999.

One of nine Australian Falun Gong members detained and deported from China after protesting in Tiananmen Square says he and other protesters were kicked and punched during their arrest and interrogation by Chinese police.
After arriving home in Sydney yesterday, David Rubacek, a 24-year-old retail worker from Hurstville, told of his ordeal at a demonstration by about 70 Falun Gong practitioners outside the Chinese consulate.

"I kind of expected it," Mr Rubacek said. "Tiananmen Square was crowded with undercover police, uniformed police and security police. Sometimes there are more police than tourists out there, all determined not to let people speak out, not to let people tell the truth."
He said he had been punched, knocked to the ground and kicked during his arrest, despite having offered no resistance, and again while being interrogated.
"I wasn't scared while I was being beaten," he said. "I just didn't understand why. There must have been a lot of hate inside them to do that.
"They grabbed me by the suit and one of them started hitting me in the head. They pushed my head into the ground." He had no bruises or marks to show, he said.
"Then they put all of us in a room and waited until our flight arrived. They wanted to get us out of the country as quickly as possible and talk to as few people as possible."

Mr Molnar said the violence broke out after the group was taken to a police station and when they were taken back to their hotel in a bus.
The group's members refused to be separated, which angered the police and he was singled out to be forced from the vehicle.
He said he was pulled off balance and dragged to the front of the bus, where he was punched in the face and battered repeatedly.
"It felt an avalanche of punches and kicks," he said.
One kick square in the middle of his chest hurtled him out of the bus.
"As I was falling I could still feel kicks. On the ground I could feel more blows coming from the left-hand side and to the rib cage."
Mr Molnar said he still felt sore but his ordeal was mild compared with reports of group members being beaten to death.
David Rubacek, 24, said in Sydney today how during a six-hour interrogation in a hotel room he was beaten by one Beijing police officer.
He said despite being arrested, bashed and deported, he still believed the trip was a success and he would continue to campaign for freedom for other Falun Gong believers in China.
Australian swimmer and 1964 Tokyo Olympics competitor Jan Becker defended her decision to join the protest in Beijing, despite the risks.
"We're not going against the (Chinese) constitution - I read the constitution before I went," she said in Melbourne.
She said she was strip-searched by police after being arrested along with nine others in Tiananmen Square but was otherwise not mistreated.
Ms Becker said she believed the Chinese authorities were fearful of the popularity of the Falun Gong movement.
Before the official crackdown in 1999, when the group was outlawed, Falun Gong had more members in China than the communist party, she said.
Since then thousands of the group's members have been detained, and Falun Gong supporters abroad contend that more than 350 have been killed.

SEVEN foreign Falun Gong members, believed to be Australians, were detained during a protest today near the annual meeting of China's national legislature.
The protest lasted only a few seconds outside the former imperial palace in central Beijing. The protesters held up a banner with the group's name and, using another of its names, shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" in Chinese before police grabbed them.
Curious Chinese tourists watched as the five men and two women were loaded into a police van outside the palace on the northern edge of Tiananmen Square and driven away.
Police also detained two female bystanders, one of them a foreigner. An Australian television producer who filmed the women being questioned was briefly detained and his tape confiscated.
It was the fifth protest since November on or near the square by foreign members of Falun Gong [...].
The protest today occurred despite heightened security in Beijing to prevent demonstrations during the 11-day meeting of the National People's Congress, which meets at the Great Hall of the People next to Tiananmen Square.
The square was closed to the public earlier in the week but was reopened today. Dozens of police patrolled the vast plaza, stopping passersby to check their identification.
The protest took place under the portrait of communist founder Mao Zedong on Tiananmen Gate, the southern entrance to the former palace.
A statement released by Falun Gong in New York said the detained protesters were Australians. It said they wanted to "stage an appeal ... for the Falun Gong practitioners persecuted in China."
The Australian Embassy in Beijing said it couldn't confirm their nationalities.
Tiananmen Square was once the site of almost daily demonstrations by Chinese Falun Gong protesters. But a relentless, often brutal crackdown has scared away or driven underground Chinese followers who once numbered in the millions.

A practitioner who is in charge of a truth-clarifying materials production site summed up a few issues related to our xinxing that he found in this Dafa work. We hope our fellow practitioners will find them useful and expound upon them further. Let's encourage each other and together, do a better job.
About Working at Dafa Truth-Clarifying Materials Production Sites
Whenever there is a conflict, we need to search inward and solve our own problems before we can ascertain whether or not other practitioners have problems. We should not try to pass judgment upon others before we solve our own problems. After we improve our xinxing, most likely we will have a totally different response to the conflict. So we should not be eager to comment on others' acts. When we hear people talk about our shortcomings, we need to calm down and really look into our own hearts. When we hear people talk about the shortcomings of other truth-clarifying materials sites, we need to acknowledge those shortcomings as our own and search inward. If we can learn from others' mistakes, we will not make the same ones ourselves.
Everything that we do should be based on the interest of the Fa as a whole. Dafa should be put in the first place. Our own feelings come after that. When we do Dafa work, we should be able to endure any humiliations in order to carry out our responsibilities. We stepped forward in order to to validate the Fa, not to validate ourselves.
We should not pursue any fame, including fame in cultivation. We do not wish for any self-interest, nor should we become overzealous. We should avoid telling other practitioners about our accomplishments. Actually, this has brought many problems to a lot of publishing sites. The work at these sites and other Dafa work are just a part of the body that clarifies the truth to people. We are all common practitioners. We do not need to let other practitioners know what Dafa work we have done unless necessary. Otherwise, it will become a burden for other practitioners. The best way to "ask others to keep it secret" is to not talk to others about it at all. Enjoying no fame would give us nothing to show off and would leave the evil no trace to find us. This is being responsible to ourselves as well as to the Fa.
We should strive to do high quality work when we edit, format, print or distribute the materials. We need to have a very effective impact on the evil. We shouldn't have an unthinking, automatic attitude. We should go all out to do the best job no matter what kind of Dafa work we are doing. We need to be responsible to other practitioners. What we do should be worthy of being called "Dafa work." Whatever we are working on, we need to do a good job.
We should not be attached to trying to get magnificent outcomes. We need to disregard any superficial glory. We are not cultivating something to show to other people. We should be responsible for our true hearts. Only changes made in our hearts are real. This is being responsible to ourselves and to the Fa.
We should focus on improving our work, instead of enjoying our past success. Cultivation is a process to remove our attachments, not a process to accumulate our contributions. If we cannot move our hearts away from looking at our past triumphs, the more work we do, the heavier burden we will carry. Some materials publishing sites encountered trouble or suffered losses as they began to play more and more important roles. This issue is one of the causes of those losses.
We should check our xinxing whenever we encounter any problems. Our true thoughts can be revealed better when we encounter small issues, when we think we are right, and when we talk to people with whom we are familiar. A small matter doesn't necessarily mean a trivial attachment in our xinxing cultivation. We can find a big problem in a very small matter. If we can correct ourselves in small matters, the possible bigger tribulations will naturally dissolve and will never happen.
We should contribute not only our efforts, but also our hearts. We all are particles of the Fa. We have no reasons to wait or rely on others. We should take all Dafa work as our own responsibility. When waiting or relying on other practitioners, we are actually transferring the pressure to them. When we have different opinions, we need to approach the problem proactively based on the Fa. We should follow whoever has the best understanding. We should always achieve agreement by reasoning with each other.
Learning the Fa, practicing the exercises, and sending forth righteous thoughts are essential for doing a good job on Dafa work; we should never slack off.
We shouldn't do things out of emotional reasons. We need to judge things based on the Fa. We should recognize the principles in the Fa instead of human mentality. Of course, we should keep a compassionate and peaceful heart. When we encounter any problems, we should calm down. We shouldn't be emotional, as emotions and feelings are not facts; they are not Fa principles either. We shouldn't cultivate according to our feelings.
We should judge everything using Fa. Fa is harmonious. We need to step back and look at the problems as a whole. Only this way can we avoid extremes and take the middle way.
With regard to the issue of human mentality, we are cultivating together instead of making friends and living our lives together. We should not pursue the ordinary people's harmonious relationships. We should not degenerate the true cultivation environment. Harmonious relationships among practitioners are established through our cultivation, and do not arise from living ordinary people's lives.
With regard to the issue of manifestations, we shouldn't pay more attention to manifestations than to true cultivation. Intentionally or unintentionally thinking one way and acting another is cheating. No one else will be deceived except ourselves. Thinking and acting in one and the same way and showing the good manifestations of our hearts is the best.
With regard to the issue of demonstrating "we have no fear," we shouldn't get attached to showing others that we have no fear. More importantly, we shouldn't take the risk of causing damage to the Fa or to other practitioners just to prove that we don't have fear. That is being irresponsible to the Fa and to ourselves. We shouldn't take Dafa work as a bet in our individual cultivation. "Without fear" does not refer to being irresponsible. "Without fear" does not mean we don't care about security issues.
(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner who has been forced into homelessness (in China) to avoid being illegally arrested. I usually clarify the truth by just talking to people and handing out truth-clarifying literature whenever I can. I had successful experiences and lessons of failure, and I would like to share some of my understandings with my fellow practitioners.
Be Confident
Teacher said, "I often say that if all a person wants is the well-being of others and if this is without the slightest personal motivation and understanding, what he says will move the listener to tears." (From Teacher's article, "Sober-Minded," June 13, 1997) We should be confident that we have the ability to reach people before we clarify the truth to them. We don't have any personal goals. What we are doing is completely selfless and only for the sake of those people, who also realize that we are doing this under extremely difficult circumstances. Besides, we are using the side of ourselves that has obtained the Fa when doing this, so people will generally be moved, as long as they have a little bit of kindness in their hearts.
Eliminate the Evil
Dafa practitioners are rectifying the Fa, so the evil beings will try all means to interfere with our efforts, such as causing our audience to be unreceptive or to even resist our efforts. In addition, as a result of over two years of deceitful propaganda, many people have become brainwashed to a certain degree. However, as long as we actively send forth the righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil that manipulates people prior to clarifying the truth, we will achieve very good results in exposing the evil and in clarifying the truth.
Be Flexible
We can use whatever means are appropriate in clarifying the truth, as long as we can achieve the goal of saving people. For example,
When we clarify the truth, we should gauge whether we could do more, based on the response from our audience. That is, after they know the truth, we can encourage them to clarify the truth to others and to uphold justice for the Fa; and let them know that it will be beneficial for them to do so. It will be wonderful if they want to learn the Fa, but we should be careful not to push them too hard.
Be Thorough
Teacher told us to thoroughly clarify the truth. Based on the audience's receptiveness, we should try our best to tell them of Teacher's unlimited compassion; the sacredness and greatness of the Fa, and the profound influence on practitioners and society since the introduction of Dafa; the ferocity of the evil forces; and the principle that "doing good deeds is met with good rewards, and being evil is met with evil returns." We can validate the Fa using the many facts we have learned, so that we can achieve an ideal result in clarifying the truth.
Have a Sense of Urgency
We need to maintain a strong sense of urgency and responsibility towards clarifying the truth. We need to remember the huge sacrifice that Teacher has made, to understand the suffering of fellow practitioners who are in jail, and to remember the billions of people in the world who are waiting for the Fa. Many Chinese people have come from high levels. Even though everyone is personally responsible for their own results, it would really be a pity in the cosmic history if they were cleaned out after the Fa-rectification period because of their attachments or because of being brainwashed by the deceitful propaganda. So we need to truly cherish our time in this critical moment in history to take full responsibility in clarifying the truth. Meanwhile, we also need to make the best use of this time to learn the Fa, to improve ourselves and to achieve better results in clarifying the truth.

Self-cultivation
Sometime in l998, my husband came home with a book given to him by somebody in a park. It was China Falun Gong, the English version. I had never heard of Falun Gong at that time. I browsed through the book and told myself, I wanted to learn it. But the book was left unread for almost one year on a bookshelf, until one day, in April 1999, a sudden backache struck me. I thought about Falun Gong and went to attend the 9-day video session, with the hope that Falun Gong would get rid of my back pain. To my amazement, the pain disappeared on the second day of the session.
Thus began my wonderful journey as a Dafa practitioner in May 1999. In the beginning, several life-threatening tests were offered to me in order to get rid of some attachments and also to strengthen my belief in Dafa. I soon became enlightened to the fact that my cultivation path should not be filled with suffering and hardships because Master has taken care of most of my karma. Before I practiced, I had two occasions where I was near death. After I encountered Dafa, I knew that it was Master, who had taken care of me. All these tests are merely to get rid of my attachments. As Master said in Dalian Lecture: "Things that are merely for paying karma are very few, mostly they are there to eliminate your attachments". With the law of "No loss, no gain", the evils can take advantage of any loopholes I have when I am not in harmony with the universal principle of Zhen, Shan, Ren.
Fa-rectification cultivation
When the Chinese government started interfering with Dafa in July 1999, I wanted to practice in private for a while. I realized that this was a selfish attachment. One night in my sleep, Master showed up and told me that I should be diligent. His voice was so loud that it shook me up from my sleep. At that instant, I knew that I should step out to safeguard Dafa. I realized the importance of participating in Dafa activities. Within my time and financial capabilities, I attended most of the Fahui that were being held throughout the nations. I treasure the time given to me by Master to participate in this Fa rectification process in the human world. Later in my cultivation, I got an opportunity to go to Tiananmen Square and validate the Fa.
In November 2001, I was at the square and able to take a group picture of the western practitioners without being noticed. I was grateful to be given such an opportunity. But, somehow after all of them had been rounded up, I must admit that I was scared when I walked away from the square. In the taxi, I emptied my camera by taking blank shots out of the taxi window. After returning to the U.S., I realized that my fear was unnecessary because, in each of the blank shots was a white dome-shape thing clearly captured in the sky. I know that if I had had more faith in Dafa I would not have harbored such fear.
I went to Tiananmen again February 14, this time with very righteous thoughts. There were so many tourists mixed with plain-clothes police, security officers and police vans at the square on that day. Not long after I walked onto the square, I noticed that I had been followed by several plain-clothes police and one of them was staring at me three meters away. I immediately realized that I had a different mission this time. I hid behind a group of tourists and removed my hidden camera equipment. I came here to validate Dafa so I had to do something. On the spur of the moment, my heart was filled with excitement, I wanted to shout out "Falun Dafa Hao", but I realized that it would last less than a minute, and only a handful of people would be able to hear it. I did not want to be detained because Dafa practitioners do not belong inside their detention center. Suddenly an idea came to me: I could let more people in the square hear Falun Dafa Hao without being arrested. I walked to groups of tourists and said to them "Falun Dafa Hao." I went from one group to another. I also helped tourists take their group pictures and when they thanked me, I replied with "Falun Dafa Hao." The tourists were caught by surprise, and most were in awe. This lasted for about half an hour. But as I approached yet another group of tourists, a policeman stopped me and asked:
Throughout all this, I was very calm. I knew that I was being protected and the evils simply could not touch me because I was doing the most righteous and noble act in the universe. Before I boarded the airplane the next day, I sat in the airline lounge, meditated for half an hour and sent forth righteous thoughts twice. I thought about the practitioners in China, how much suffering they have to go through, and I thought about all the Chinese people that are hostile to Dafa just because they have been deceived. Upon my return, I reaffirmed my vows to Master that I will continue to validate the Fa.

The First World Congress of Future Science and Culture was held successfully at UK's Cambridge University, which is famous for its historic tradition of academic excellence. Scholars and experts from Germany, Sweden, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Demark, Canada, America, Australia, Japan, Taiwan and UK reported to about 300 conference attendees on their new perspectives and results from their areas of study. The congress was divided into 4 parts: biology and medicine, new ideas in science, sociology and environmental science, and humanity and culture.
Cambridge in the early spring welcomes scholars from around the world. The ancient and highly acclaimed University City is packed with youths. They stood in front of display boards in the hallway, or outside the conference hall, reading the introduction of the congress. More people went inside and listened to the reports, and right after that bought Dafa books. Soon, English books sold out on the first day of the conference, and several boxes of materials were distributed.
Conference attendees were attracted by a poster outside the conference hall about an experiment with water. The experiment clearly demonstrated the effect of mind activity on water. When soothing music or loving words were applied to the water, the water's lattice structure became beautiful and orderly. When foul language was applied, the water structure became irregular. People were amazed that such a simple experiment demonstrated that matter and mind are one.
A paper by a practitioner from Mainland China talked about his all new understandings on the interactions of time, space and matter, quantum theory and many other physics concepts. His article left a deep impression on the conference attendees. Due to the current brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China, his article was read by another practitioner. Several participants illustrated the relationship between mind and matter from different scientific perspectives. Several researchers introduced some little known results through experiments in biology, medicine, and clinical practice. A professor explored prophecies and their scientific value. An artist mentioned that mind-nature cultivation is of crucial importance to art creation.
The speakers all said that their new understandings and insights towards science and culture come from their cultivation of Falun Dafa and assimilation to the characteristics of the universe, Truth-Compassion-Tolerance. It is Falun Dafa that opens their wisdom and widens the angles to an all new understanding of life, universe, time and space. They all believe that Falun Dafa will surely open an all new future civilization.

Changchun City Cable Television Network Broadcasts the Truth of Falun Gong - A Breakthrough That Reverberates Throughout the World
Who is afraid of 'broadcasting' the truth? The heroic act of several practitioners in Changchun City is the first lightning that lacerates the heavy dark clouds. After Changchun City Cable Television Network broadcast the Falun Gong truth-clarifying programs on March 5, Jiang initiated the illegal order to "Kill Falun Gong practitioners without mercy." Such flagrant state terrorism is not only the massacre of the Chinese people, but also attacks the principles of "truthfulness- benevolence- forbearance." We must stop Jiang's massacre of Falun Gong immediately!
Changchun Daily website disclosed on March 8 the news coverage of the truth-clarifying broadcast by the Cable Television Network. It admitted that on the evening of March 5, a "Falun Gong" film appeared twice on the Cable Television Network's programs in four districts in Changchun.
The people who have broadcast the truth of Falun Gong to the millions of viewers through the Changchun City Cable Television Network are saints in the human world. You were fully aware of the consequence of doing this, but you were strong enough to move forward. You have safeguarded the truth of the whole universe! The splendor of this moment is reverberated throughout the cosmos, the moment that Falun Dafa practitioners have let go of life and death will be remembered forever.
Media Reports
On March 7, the Japanese Business and Financial News reported that the Changchun City Cable Television Network's program was intercepted by a Falun Gong program for nearly 50 minutes on March 5. The number of the contract households of the Cable Television Network in Changchun City is about 270,000. March 5 was also the day of the opening of the fifth meeting of the Chinese Ninth National People's Congress.
Voice of America, in its March 7th report, relates that the Chinese police authorities arrested seven foreign Falun Gong practitioners for staging a brief demonstration in Tiananmen Square against Beijing's persecution of the cultivation group, and among them are at least three Australians. The protest was near Beijing's Great Hall of the People where China's Congress was holding its session. In the last month alone, China expelled more than 50 Westerners who held similar protest activities.
In the Central News Agency's March 6th report we are told that the Chinese government intensified its persecution, and gun-toting police fired on Falun Gong practitioners in Anshan City, Liaoning Province and Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province. Before the Chinese New Year, Changchun City Police Department personnel launched several rounds of "search and arrest" of Dafa practitioners. The police had received an order that states: "When Falun Gong practitioners are seen posting flyers or hanging up banners, it is permissable to 'shoot to kill' on the spot."
The Central News Agency's March 5th special dispatch reported: the first historic Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Meeting was held in Jakarta, Indonesia on March 2, 2002. The State Governor of Jakarta sent a representative to deliver a speech in which he pointed out that Indonesia respects human rights, supports freedom of belief and advocates that people of different belief systems can live together in peace and harmony. He also expressed his belief and admiration towards Falun Dafa, and support for Falun Dafa.
On February 22, the Taiwanese Freedom Times published an article entitled "Bush, China and Falun Gong," which introduced Falun Gong and exposed the truth about the Chinese government's persecution of Falun Gong. It called for help for the suffering Falun Gong practitioners who are waiting for understanding and support from those people around the world who love peace and respect human rights.
New Climate in the Fa Rectification
"The Buddha light illuminates everywhere," [Teacher's poem collection Hong Yin] and the clouds are cleared out. The sister of a Dafa practitioner is in charge of an elementary school. With her sister's effort she learned about the truth. Once, the school held a "ten-thousand people signature drive" during which students were forced to sign a Dafa slandering document. This lady went to see the school party secretary and said, "Our responsibility is not to get the children involved in politics; getting them involved in politics is not good!" The secretary immediately said, "Yes, yes. Please immediately notify the other schools and tell them not to bring their kids over to sign." Several hundred children escaped a great catastrophe in their lives.
A fellow practitioner was posting truth-clarifying flyers when several children playing nearby ran after her and shouted, "Get her!" She was lucky because she ran fast and the children didn't catch her. How malicious are those who follow the orders of China's dictator and his minions! They even poison the minds of little children! During our in-depth, comprehensive and thorough truth-clarification to the Chinese people, don't overlook the children! We should consider the children as important as the adults. Many children came to obtain the Fa, so how can we ignore them?

Today, 141 Falun Gong practitioners have solemnly declared that all the verbal and written statements they made denouncing Dafa resulting from brainwashing and torture are null and void. They vow to continue to practice Falun Gong and make up for what they did through truth clarification and living up to the high standards of true practitioners during Fa rectification.
I was at the terminal stage of breast cancer when I started practicing Falun Gong. I have recovered fully after practicing. Because I refused to give up the practice, I was detained, sent to a labor camp and tortured. My husband was put under tremendous pressure and had to divorce me. When I was at Nanmusi Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan province, I witnessed police using rods with spikes to beat practitioners and causing injuries all over their bodies. A practitioner's head was wounded and bled heavily.
I was persecuted by the Technological Information Institute, Jilin Province. In 2001, I was imprisoned at Xinlongshan Brainwashing Center in Changchun City. When I was released, my work unit fired me for "being absent" for three months. I was forced to leave my hometown and now go from place to place.

Practitioners tape recorded the following phone message regarding the crimes committed against Falun Gong practitioners and transmitted it to all telephone users in Shijiazhuang City: "On September 20, 2000, Tao Hong, a 46-year-old official of the Provincial Security Department, Hebei Province, was tortured to death in Shijiazhuang Labor Camp. Tao's case has been widely reported overseas. Jiang's group controls the media in China and blocks overseas news reports in order to deceive citizens in China."

The Internationale Gesellschaft fuer Menschenrechte (IGFM), International Association for Human Rights, issued the following press release on March 7, 2002 in Germany: Three Falun Gong practitioners were arrested after the cable TV network of Changchun City aired Falun Gong's truth-clarification programs on March 5, 2001. Jiang has given the order of "kill them without mercy." Individual provinces and cities are compiling their lists for execution as well as lists for lengthy prison terms. Already, there have been incidents of police shooting Falun Gong practitioners who were distributing flyers.
Lui Pak Fung, a Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioner, was suddenly taken away from her family by the local police in Liuzhou when she and her family were visiting relatives in her hometown during the Lunar New Year holiday. She is now under house arrest and forced to attend a brainwashing class. Her husband, O Man Tsan, went to the SAR Government for assistance. However, Chief Executive Tung Chee-Hwa said he was unable to help. Lui Pak Fung is the second Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioner to be detained in Mainland China. Chu O-Ming was arrested on September 7, 2000 by the police in Beijing after a lawful attempt to file a lawsuit against Jiang's group for the crimes they have committed against Falun Gong practitioners. Chu is still in prison.
February 27, 2002 - Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong appealed to the members of the Legislation Committee, reporting the interference when renting space from the HK Special District Government and even private organizations, and searching for a solution. The committee members had a sincere and positive response to the appeal and promised to have a thorough investigation of the issue.
Practitioners in southern Australia held a five-day Fa Spreading activity in a local Park. They put nearly 10,000 flags on the ground and formed "Falun Dafa" in English and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" in Chinese. Passers-by could not understand why the Chinese government persecuted Falun Gong and many people signed their names on the practitioners' petition.
The Experiences of Practitioners from Taiwan during the Indonesia Falun Gong Conference: The representative of the governor of Jakarta congratulated the opening of the conference. We went to the downtown area to spread Dafa. Many Indonesians accepted the materials, but the Chinese people had various reactions. The parade in the downtown area was canceled because of interference from the Chinese government, but the media, which included broadcasting and newspapers, reported the government's unreasonable actions against Falun Gong activities, exposing the evil.
Experience Sharing among Practitioners
On February 6, Falun Dafa Day, we went to Beijing to validate Dafa. We were beaten. In the prison, we clarified the truth to those around us about Falun Gong. After we went on a hunger strike for more than 10 days, the police were afraid that we could not survive. They did not want to undertake the legal responsibilities, so they sent us in police car to a train station and forced us onto a train heading north.
The Falun Gong Board: After I finished making a board which exhibited the truth about Falun Gong, I talked more about the practice when showing the board to my family and answered the questions they raised. When our group practices the exercises in the morning, the board is right beside us. Many passers by stop and take a look.
Stories of the Practitioners in Taiwan -- The Cultivation Story of Sister Lian: My husband used to love drinking and gambling. He would lie to me that he was working overtime. Although my husband was not right, my parents-in-law took his side. Since I began practicing Falun Gong, my husband goes to work and comes home on time. His personality has changed a lot too, and he no longer lies to me. He acts more responsibly towards our family.
