Totalitarian and Vicious
Jiang Zemin isn't like Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping who had their own experience and system of thought for governance. After Jiang Zemin took power (which was widely considered to have been done through manipulation and politicking), he used these two phrases to maintain his rule: 1, Jiang Zemin is the core; 2, maintain conformity with the core. There's no ideology, no substance; it's just dictatorship. His dictatorship is not only governance of one (totalitarian, with Jiang as the core), but it is also vicious. Everyone, no matter who they are, and no matter what kind of moral values and way of thinking they have, they must all conform to him. In such a huge nation with a long and illustrious history, there must be many among the 1.2 billion people of all walks of life with great virtue and outstanding moral character. For all of these people to have to maintain the same stance as the big dictator is truly a great injustice.
Crazed Jealousy
Jiang Zemin is aware that Falun Gong teaches people to cultivate Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance. It teaches people to be good people, teaches people to strive towards the state of being "selfless, putting others before yourself." He has seen that the Chinese people, who have been lost for so many generations, have seen the light, have seen a wonderful purpose in life and have one by one started cultivating a righteous Fa. He knows that the people's hearts of goodness have been awakened and that the people of the nation and of the world are taking to kindness and goodness like dry tinder catching a flame. He saw that the light of a righteous Fa will brighten the whole world. Jiang Zemin took another look at his two phrases: "Jiang Zemin is the core" and "maintain conformity with the core" and saw how debased and ugly they really were. He was consumed by jealousy and he screamed: "It's competing with the Party for the people -- destroy it!"
He blasted Premier Zhu Rongji's levelheaded handling of the Falun Gong issue and the April 25th incident as "Confused! Confused!" For his evil heart to see truthfulness, benevolence, and forbearance was like an ant on a hot frying pan and it was driving him crazy. Thus, he directed his lackeys like Luo Gan [the head of public security in the PRC] to illegally capture, sentence, beat, abuse to death, and use unimaginably cruel tortures against tens of thousands of good citizens ?Falun Gong practitioners.
Jiang sees how Master Li Hongzhi's compassion in teaching people to be kind and to cultivate themselves to higher levels has been understood by the people. He sees how they respect and admire him and how their gratitude for their teacher flows from them naturally. And then he sees how he himself as a dictator coerces people to follow him and how dark and filthy it is. So he started malicious rumors, telling his lackeys to fabricate criminal charges, make up false documentation, slander, and illegally send out an arrest order for Master Li. It would be hard to say his actions were in any way based on reason.
Demonic nature flourishing
Jiang Zemin's incompetence and demonic nature appears to be linked -- he is unable to see that Falun Gong can bring prosperity to the nation and invigorate the people. It can elevate the people's moral values and they won't do bad deeds. He can't see that as soon as people learn Falun Gong, government officials will no longer be greedy, the people will become kinder and more considerate, those who have fallen can stand up again, and it can bring good fortune to the nation. He cannot see that Falun Gong is beneficial to the nation and to the people and brings no harm. His demonic nature causes him to betray good and seek evil, and jealousy makes him unable to rest at ease until he puts all practitioners to death. If Jiang Zemin had even a sliver of goodness in him, he would consider the benefits of Falun Dafa, but he has lost his sense of goodness, his conscience is gone, and only his evil nature is left to flourish.
The actions of an evil spirit, the heart of a debased person
Jiang Zemin's mentality is that of a debased person and his behavior is underhanded. For example, he, as a head of state, gave a booklet of slander against Falun Gong to the President of the United States. In international relations between heads of state, one is supposed to not only be poised and gracious but must also put one's personal interests aside for the sake of the public good, and everything should be open and above-board. Instead, what did he bring? Not only was it against the law, but also against international protocol. In his thick-skinned, shameless way, he hoped that "foreign forces would intervene" and persecute Falun Gong.
Weird and bizarre gestures
To say that Jiang Zemin is weird, some people may not understand, so here's an example. In 1996 when he went to visit Spain, when he met the Spanish King, before he had even greeted him, he first took out a little comb and carefully started combing his hair. Everybody there was stunned into silence. Both the Chinese and foreign media took pictures and reported on this bizarre incident.
Also, Jiang Zemin came to America to show that there was more to his two dictatorial statements: "core person" and "conformity." Thus, he tried hard to show off; sometimes he would speak in English, sometimes in Cantonese, sometimes in the Shanghai dialect, sometimes he would sing Beijing opera -- all to let people know that this Jiang 'core person' has so much learning and substance! No wonder the Chinese people call him "Mr. Theater;" he never gives up an opportunity to put on a show no matter where he is.
Evil
For the above reasons, Jiang Zemin wants to crack down upon Falun Gong. He has chosen to be an enemy of Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance and completely go against the laws of the nation, the will of the heavens, and the hearts of the people. He has personally fabricated rumors and ordered people to create false evidence and the nation's media and propaganda machines to go on the attack, turning falsehoods into 'truth' and black into white and betraying all that is good in the world. He is using the enormous power that he seized to capture people, convict them of crimes, and then order the People's Congress to make up legislation. First he makes up the rumors, then he orders his lackeys to go make up evidence. No matter how you look at it, his actions are indefensible.
Nevertheless, things have not exactly gone according to his plans, and he will one day have to face his just retribution. Jiang's evil plans will necessarily backfire. He keeps yelling about "eradicating" Falun Gong, but it's a universal Law and it is great and boundless. The miniscule little demons will themselves be destroyed by history.
Falun Gong's struggle against Jiang's persecution has already gone on for more than a year now. The courageousness and selfless contributions of the practitioners are making Jiang nervous and jittery. Using the PRC National Day Celebrations on October 1st as an excuse, he again went on a rampage and had Falun Gong practitioners arrested in their homes. Jiang made a big fuss about wanting to "ruin them financially, smear them politically, and destroy them physically (their bodies)" within three months. According to reports in the media, on October 1st of this year, more than a thousand Falun Gong practitioners, not fearing the brutal and bloody crackdown, again went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to peacefully appeal and clarify the truth. Their appeals were very quickly quelled, with plainclothes policemen beating and kicking the Falun Gong practitioners, pushing a thousand of them into vans and taking them away. But nonetheless, this unwavering and magnificent resistance is destined to become the most glorious page in the history of the Chinese people. Jiang Zemin, the last dictator of this century, will never be able to escape the judgment and retribution of the principles of the heavens and he will forever have to bear his shame. The Falun is turning quickly. Good and evil will each soon reap their just desserts.
